What other cars do you own?

This was my last fun project, which sadly now resides in France. Is legacy lives on though in my latest build :)

That's utterly gorgeous - immaculate.
In fact, it looks way too good to be an original - is it a Lister Bell, Hawk or similar? If so, what motor is in it?

Thanks @Chopman . It's the simplest way to tell an original / recreation apart. Lancia quality :) It's a Hawk I built from new with a tuned Alfa V6 making close to 300 BHP and weighing approx. 900KG.
A pic of it starting the Costa Brava recently

There's just something about them that I cannot quite put my finger on, but as a rally fan from the early 80's on - they are probably my favourite car ever (although a cobra comes close).
I'd probably even sell my van to buy one :eek:

Lovely looking stratos (replica or not)@wills.
Went to my first lombard rally in 1977 and got hooked.
Some cracking cars about at the time and the stratos was one, along with this,

Well they made a change from mk ll escorts.
For a brief time I co-owned one of Tony Ponds Sunbeams and ran it at Goodwood, more car than I could handle for sure! Remember well in early 80’s a Capri Brooklands 280i being rolled at Goodwood chicane, owner was fine but inconsolable........

Always dreamed of a sunbeam lotus, but that's as far as it got I'm afraid, but owned a sunbeam ti when I was nineteen(poor mans lotus). :)

I remember sitting in one of those at a car show when I was about 13 - dogleg gearbox if I remember correctly.
There were so many escorts around at the rallys that it was great to see a few Manta 400s, HS Chevettes (aka Shove-it) and sunbeams around.
Then came the mighty Group B monsters...

Looks to be in original condition. Is it a runner and going to be left with the "worn" appearance / patina?

Just bought a 1971 T2....happy days

I had a 71 Bay!
My wife and I got married and used it as our wedding vehicle, even the wedding cake was a bay window VW.
A good year for Bays, you get disk brakes, but keep the wrap round bumpers, low indicators and more importantly the small rear lights.

What's the plans with it @JimVee?

It’s MOT’d to March 2019, needs some tidying up internally and externally. Runs nicely, all electrics work, will give it a full service, only issue seems to be binding brakes but will refresh them. Underneath is rust free, just got the front seats and a full bed in the back.

Idea is to repaint but not sure whether to stay with original blue and white or go red and white like the T6. Matching pair lol.

Not sure whether to go camper style ie cooker etc or just tidy the interior and keep as is.

Wasn’t going to bother with a Bay just yet but it was in the next village and too good an offer as the lass needs to pay for a wedding. Got to get the 73 Beetle done up and sold first though before going too mad with the Bay.
