What to do with the blank…

I have replaced the digitiser in my head unit today and super pleased with the results and the guidance from the forum.

I took the opportunity to move my Apple lighting cable so it’s a neater route to my phone vent mount.

Question is what do people recommend to do with the blank, just cut a nick out of it to let the cable through?

Any comments welcomed!

I would drill a cable sized hole as close to edge as possible then push/lever the drill bit out the side of the blank to give you a semi circular hole extending out the edge

I’d like to do this and use a grommet to plug the hole, but I’ve not been able to find anything suitable.

Closest I’ve found are these:

Those are 25mm wide though, which is overkill and possibly even too large for the blank. I can’t seem to find a smaller version.

originally i did have an open gromet,

but it kept falling out when i was pulling/pushing the wire in/out,

so i ended up binning it off..

I'm with you. A dremmel or round file should see you right.
