Just returned from holidaying in northern Italy. Whilst there, I stumbled upon a gorgeous looking Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1600 Spider (series 101) parked in the shade, down a side-street on the outskirts of Venice.

Such a pretty little 2-seater in white with red leather upholstery and a large wooden steering-wheel (LHD of course) - I just stopped in my tracks and drooled over it for... well... I'm not sure how long. Long enough for the owner to return and catch me admiring his car from various angles. He didn't speak much English and I speak barely any Italian, but I left him in no doubt that I absolutely adored his car. :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Unfortunately, I didn't have my phone with me, so no photos :(, so here's a pic I found on the web:

Looked on Autotrader when I got home, and found only 1 such car for sale, at £65k . So, that's never gonna happen , making this my dream car.

So what's your dream car?

T6.1 199 Highline Kombi in starlight blue does it for me……..
Haha. I knew someone would nominate their van. Hopefully that's your reality, so what's your unfulfilled dream car - the one that is, realistically, just out of reach?

Audi rs6 avant would have to be up there for me supercar speed in a family wagon
Certainly more practical than my choice ;)
and faster
and more reliable
and...

Oh now your talking. Bang on same for me in a nice Matt colour.
Sure, the RS6 is a superb car for transporting the family (and/or a fridge ;)) with monster performance, and there's no doubt it puts smiles on the drivers' faces, but does it pull at your heart-strings and make you yearn for it? Maybe it does for you - we're all different - but it's too functional and too contemporary (and therefore, relatively speaking, too commonplace) for my tastes. Something pretty, small, slightly impractical and probably Italian is more up my street.

Each car is built to the owner's spec, the price depends on how you spec it but prices start at £95K +VAT, sadly, Mrs D doesn't share my enthusiasm!

They're not restored Fords, they're brand new cars, hence they're not allowed to use the Ford badge.

Italian is beautiful to look at and unfortunately that’s what you could be doing most of the time they can be a bit temperamental and unreliable for my kind of liking mainly electrics

Do like a mk1 and mk2 escort they lost there looks from mk3 onwards

@Bav that was a bit flippant when I posted it but you got me thinking and when i was younger I would probably have said some sort of classic american muscle car restored to show condition. But I use my van for work and family and to be honest for most of my working life a brand new Transporter was out of reach. This is the first time we’ve been in the position to buy the exact spec of van we wanted. So (and I’m not sure if it’s a bit sad or really good) I can honestly say that at the moment I own my dream vehicle!
