Wheel bolts - different type if alloy or steel?

Swapping from alloys to steels, my tyre place says the bolts with the alloys, pictured here, are no good because the thread does go the full length to the taper as the alloys are thicker than the steel wheels. I've searched on here and it looks like there are several answers but they all recommend different bolts. PS: I need to fit the black plastic small caps too. Radford 1071s answer is the best I can see because it means I can use my original bolts! Thinking a bit more, the spare is a 16" steel and you'd have to use the original bolts on that if you had a flat. I can see the point though about the thread going right up to the taper.

Are they the bolts that came with the OEM wheels when the van was brand new?
If you put the @ sign before the users name it will get their attention. eg: @Radford1071s
