Which coolant for T6?

I purchased a 19 plate 2.0 diesel manual T6 shuttle about 6 months ago and now need to top up the coolant as its near min mark. I've ready G12 or G13 is recomended, so thought I would be able to get some from Halfords. They ask for your number plate then show compatible products. But they are showing G40???

I have no idea what is already in the vehicle as in brand and if its G12, G13 etc so what am I safe to put in, in this scenario G12, G12+ G12++, G12evo, G13, G40?

I dont have an original manual so any help would be greatfully received.

No clue what's in there at the moment.
In that case dont guess. Certain combinations of coolant aren't compatible and can gel and cause blockages, with sometimes catastrophic results. Sadly colour is not a reliable indicator of the type of coolant.

If the service invoices dont shed any light on the matter then empty it, flush it, and refill it the correct stuff as per either the sticker under the bonnet or Baz's link above.

Thanks for this. Sticker under the bonnet, didn't think to look for one, i will look tomorrow. Will a mix of the any of these used togeather gel G12, G12+ G12++, G12evo, G13? They should be all OAT, i thought it was only mixing OAT and IAT that would gel, am I'm wrong in thinking this?

The pink stuff...

Anyway id be more worried about where it's gone... The cooling system is sealed.

So if it's dropped you have a leak.

Even a small leak will cause big problems..

Ie egr cooler, DSG cooler, water pump leaking....etc etc. you need to have it looked at.
