I use 5.5 l RAVENOL 0W40 SSL + 200 ml AR9200 V2 Nano Mo-WS2 ESTER KOMPLEX for my Caravella TSI. My mechanic recommended me, I am very pleased. I have already traveled 60 tkm on Ravenol.

5w-30 meeting the VW504.00 spec for longlife servicing if that is what you are on?

Brand wise, as long as it is from a reputable brand and meets the VW504.00 spec all will be good.

This is interesting as VW used to spec 5/30 but now if you ask for oil they are supplying 5/40. I wondered if anyone else knew why there was a shift?
Either way I am sticking to the 5/30 synta fully syn.
