Hey peeps,

Following on from my intro thread, I thought I’d put up some posts of how our T6 is progressing; so far she’s called ‘Baylee’ as the accent colour will be ‘Bayleaf Green’ (trims, gaitor, curtains, plus others as the van refit progresses.

We’ve replaced the centre-console for a new one sans-holes (it was an ex service vehicle), removed the old plastic panels, the original hardboard panels and plywood flooring, we cleaned up the back of the bed, and we’ve installed a static privacy window on the near-side sliding door.

We obtained the van last week; a 2016 Highline T32 Bluemotion SWB.

Well here is a lovely little pic of ‘Baylee’ the T6 following the installation of both static side windows.

Have also removed the bulkhead (removal of the BH strip eventually) and my friend has used his CARISTA to add stuff like dial sweep (yes I’m an idiot that loves the needles go whoosh!) anti hijack locking and auto Unlock when key is removed.

Next will be ply lining, carpet installation (with my VW carpet embossing logos), headliner, back window and other mods.

Here she is so far:

BTW, I have these in both 100mm and 200mm diameters for carpet embossing…. Let me know if you want one… £4 for the small one, £7 for the larger one.IMG_4271.jpeg

Tiny bits done this week: fitted rear camera, removed all traces of dodgy wiring (we found a live wire going to ground along the lighting circuit… that’s was fun tracing that little b£*’ard lol.

Kilamat on the roof, removed that huge van master beacon light (selling it, if anyone interested - Van Master VMG718 10-30V 345mm R65 1 Bolt Amber Low Profile LED Mini Lightbar )

Fitt3d a little shark fin shell over the sealed hole so it still looks pretty.

Minimal stuff, but progress nonetheless

So this weekend saw a few more changes…

Gloss black grill, dark metallic green trim, gloss black lower trims, silver top with green lower mirrors, the gear leather gator and I started work in the front lower spoiler. I’m pretty pleased with myself and my next mate Chris.

These past couple weeks also saw us changing the EGR valve too!

Little bit more work today. Removed the B pillars and got rid of the bulkhead brackets (that was fun…) and the treated all the parts underneath that were Tory led with surface rust. Drill pad, wire brunch and some Rust converter and a lot of time later, seats are back in and the back has been de-badged, and the same dark metallic green added!

Loving this little van of ours!!

Here’s Baylee’s new bum:
