I got excited when I saw a 5 litre bottle, quite rare round these parts. That was all I needed to get close to max. Typical M&S no price on it, but pleasing it registered straight away on the display when popped in to the adblue tank. All the horror stories on here!
...peripherique, that might not have been such a bad thing!). On the other side, I wouldn't have had a period of fretting after the dreaded 'ad blue range 650 miles' warning came up on the MFD (with near full tank of the stuff!), which then dropped to 600 miles before going back up to 5000 over...
So following on from this I now have an engine management light on. Popped into the dealers who once again tell me it’s nothing to do with anything they have done and it’s now an adblue issue.
This has got me demented now!
Any ideas?
I’ve read that if the egr has heavy deposits on it then it won’t shut completely, in which case merely telling the ecu not to open it won’t have the desired effect.
This is my 80L tank on LWB 4Motion. I guess it’s longer at the back. It is right against the ad-blue at the front, it’s not lower, and I don’t think it is wider, but I don’t have a 70L to compare it to.
The engine light is solid orange, no flashing. They didn't give any more details of which sensors had gone other than the three they mentioned above.
I was on the motorway when the engine light came on. Then, about a couple of minutes later the Ad-Blue warning came up on the mfd. I don't know...
Update , after the 5lt didn't register put another 10 lt in and hey presto the screen was right. 22lt tank now registering 10000 miles of driving.
That'll be enough time to find an adblue pump at a forecourt near me. Argos 10lts £18.50 to Spec
Even the firm that got fined still offers the service so I doubt it.
They just now have the Motorsport use disclaimer.

I have only had the van around 3 months so I am not sure on this. Seems to be on longer drives. I have also had the 600mile adblue warning that decided to correct itself after 30miles, this has only happened once though in the last 1000 miles.
I have had the following error previously as well
6.1 is Euro 6. You will have an ad-blue filler underneath the diesel filler.
On mine, I put a cill tank in from CAK tanks, about 27L. There is also space for tanks at the rear quarter- CAK do one, but there was a thread on here with a poster who had a much better solution, and avoided dealing...
they don't like the P20EE code as too generic apparently
yes bizarrely after a 50 mile run. Tank was at 2500 range and VW Assist measured via software and it was in line volume wise.#
The Adblue was an error message not a refill message
me too, so excited when I brought it. give me my old 07...
That was my belief too. DPF isn't too problematic in itself and removal can cause MOT fail and other issues.
Like I say though, the independent VW place near me reckons they won't entertain the EGR removal while keeping the DPF in place.
Not sure which way to go on this.
Definitely keen to...
Expensive adblue whilst away in Slovakia. At Christmas it was 20Euro for 10l in Tesco, easily found in 10l containers. Now only 5l containers and 15Euro each. I knew I would need it and would have packed it with me if I had known, as well when .5l of Budvar is on offer for .69cents and...
