...springs from vdub motors, because of this VW wouldn’t get involved as it had been lowered etc.
I took it to Bram Racing for the hunteralignment, I drove away and it was exactly the same. I took it back and got the same result. Third time I set the steering wheel at 11 o’clock then asked them...

The reason lots of suppliers offer 275/40 is because it is available very cheap with many options(It’s a Range Rover size so well supported by the manufacturers) . It is oversize and too big for your front wheel.
The Bilstein B14’s are a great option, but in the Komfort version - we haven’t...

I can concur what @BognorMotors says. I had a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres fitted by Oli on 26 October 2021 to date I've done 20509miles and the rears are just about ready to be changed. I changed the fronts in October last year for a smaller profile, not sure on the mileage then but there...
I would make sure it aligned correctly on a hunter and run your pressures for 20” wheels between 36 - 40 when loaded. We see, driven normally, around 15K+ miles out of tyres.
...reason I changed them was because they were perished and cracks had appeared in the tread grooves. (Which reminds me, I’m not happy about their premature demise so I’m going after Protyre for some compo)
I do have Powerflex adjustable front/rear bushes and a good Hunteralignment after fitting.
Get a decent 4 wheel alignment done, ‘Hunter’ are one of the best, unless you are very low they should be able to get the rear within tolerance without adjustable bushes, it will be the best £80 you spend. Mine is -90mm and get 12K + out of tyres
I would drop your pressures down to 36, which is what we recommend for normal use, and get a proper alignment done on Hunter with the correct settings to make sure you are properly aligned.
Hi
I was going to go down the air ride route as I want comfy suspension but been told by a few companies that it won’t be the same as Range Rover suspension and to go down the road of b14 comfort I have 50 mm lowering springs on my 22 plate t6.1 t28 so if anyone can offer some advice on a...
What did he adjust?
Was the wheel out of centre exactly the same or improved?
Is there any pulling forces while driving either braking or accelerating.
Is there more effort required to steer in one direction than the other?
Can you quantify how far is the wheel off centre?
The alignment was slightly out and so was adjusted to bring everything back into levels. I've also just been to another garage where they use a Hunter Machine, with the levels in the photo. The tech guy said all was good, test drove and could see for himself the steering was off. Adjusted again...
Back to the van we carried on. . . .
this time looking at the exterior.
4 wheel HUNTERalignment was a hot topic: Lowering & 4-wheel Laser Alignment - How I Done It -
Hunter is just a brand name of an alignment service - don’t be sold on a brand. Your query is “who to trust for wheel alignment who understands conversions?”
Hi,
I’ve got a bit of inner tyre wear and also got 3mm left overall after 5k on my 20inch 275 rears.
It’s a campervan converted t6.1. With slightly cambered wheels.
I understand the premature wear may be due to the camber, but also read on here that the low ride height may have changed the...
