    Your best £1-£100 van investment

I have the C2Play as well. They only issue I shave with it is that there can be 5-15 second delay on it on Google or Apple maps. Made me miss a few turns in the past.

    Kenwood DMX 8021 DABS

...use it for everything (Spotify, Navigation, messages) rather than inbuilt systems - I wasn’t sure whether paying extra to get wireless CarPlay would be worth it, but having now got used to it, I’m so glad I did. If doing navigation on a long journey, you probably still need to charge your...

    T6.1 Connecting Apple CarPlay

My 6.1 worked using a usb-c cable. And I’ve just plugged in a carlinkit module which connects phone to Apple CarPlay wireless. Really impressed and it’s quite small. Cost £56, so not too bad. I’ve got the small screen with out Nav. But now I’ve got google maps via CarPlay and it auto...

Kenwood Dmx8019dab With Wireless Apple Carplay/android Auto

The 8019 came out as wireless apple CarPlay only, then the 8020 came out with licensed wireless android auto, which connects and works better .. yes the 8019 can do as updates improved it but no guarantee it will work

Sold Carlinkit 4.0 Wireless Carplay/Android Auto dongle

In short, if your van has Apple CarPlay, this dongle makes it wireless. Your phone will connect without having to be plugged in. Especially convenient for short journeys, when hopping in/out of the van. No need to connect with a wire every time to use Google Maps, Spotify, etc.

Navigation system "Discover Media" including "Streaming & Internet worth having?

...so this seems like a bit of a moot point now ? but no, in my opinion its not really worth it, googlemaps/waze are good and the additional screen size doesnt make a huge difference, the best plus point for me is wireless carplay (although im not sure if you need discover media pro for that ?)

    Discover Media Touchscreen Fault

Appreciate there probably many threads on this but just wondering what current options are? I’m used to repairing tech… Can reseating the cables help? Replace the touch part of panel? If so anyone on here supply? Prob wouldn’t bother with replacing with same unit as don’t use the NAV, what...

    iPad infotainment in T6

That’s an interesting bit of kit Dean. Have you got a picture of it in your van please? My concern is that 1) I would lose my hdmi 2) I would lose my reversing camera. 3) it would look a bit odd just sunroom cupped to the dash, crying out for someone to just open the window with a brick and...

T6 or T6.1 connection to Android - sanity check

Speak to NR Coding. Sorted out my 2016 T6 over the weekend with the factory head unit. Wired connection via the dash USB but looking at a wireless option right now, like the Motorola MA1 if I can find one to buy.

Kenwood Dmx8019dab With Wireless Apple Carplay/android Auto

8019 works fine on wireless android auto, been running it for probably 3 years now, no problem  And yes twin usbs. My mate just got an 8020 which I installed for him, I couldn't tell any difference to the 8019 at all... Maybe it was marginally faster?

Assembling audio parts, what else do I need ?

Sounds good, don’t need the sound deadening, what have you got in the way of rear cameras. I’ve got my eye on the one which is incorporated into the high level brake light. Apparently I need an interface, so the ff parking sensors work with the stereo ? That'd then give me visual and sensors...

Kenwood DMX8020 wireless CarPlay GPS accuracy

I’ve had/got this exact issue on the same unit. I use my Nav to locate addresses for work multiple times a day & it’s a proven to be a nightmare. Dangerous even, as I’m more fixated on the Nav & what’s happening with that than i am on the road in front of me. Not sure what the ultimate answer is...
