    18” Tyre recommendations

What pressures are you running? I'm looking at getting the same tyres and profile. I currently have 255/45/18 at the recommended 44psi and the fronts are worn out in the centre but 5mm on the edges which suggests over inflated in only 9k! Thanks

    Your real-life tyre brand reviews

I've just changed from factory 16" steel rims with 215/65/16 to Ronal R69 18" alloys with 255/45/18 Hankook S1 Evo3 tyres. So far I am pretty happy with the Hankooks, though I do sense more direct contact feedback when hitting sharp edges/holes on the roads. However despite having chose the...

    Will they rub

The standard tyres 255 45 18 sit in the wheel aches of my sportline with rakes of room. I'm looking at 255 55 18 as the side wall height difference is 1 inch this will still leave plenty of room by the look of it.. The 235 55 18 only increases the side wall by 1cm which I don't think will look...

    All-Season Tyre recommendations

Been reading this thread and after going through 2 sets of Bridgestone’ on the front and one set on the back in 19000 miles I have decided to go down the Michelin Cross Climate 2 route at £700 for 4 fitted etc. Did consider the GG but can’t seem to find a set of any ATR’s in 255/45/18 ☹️

18” Tyre recommendations for 8J wheels

255/45/18 is an approved size, 235/55/18 also works well, either would fit perfectly on an 8 inch wide 18" alloy.

    Amaroks vs JBW ROKs

...short of paint in the seams but I topped it up with Hammerite smooth black paint and you wouldn't know. I'm running them with Accelera PHI 255/45/18 103XLs. Plently of rim protection and I ran these on my previous van and really liked them. I was going to lower the van but I've accidently...

18” banded Amaroks - STX coilovers.

I’ve ordered a set of 18” banded Amaroks 9 front and 9.5 rear from Duchy. Anyone with this setup running STX coilovers, I’m looking to see how a 255/45/18 will work? Also have a few days to decide on colour, van is reflex silver. Any suggestions?

    Tyres for 18” 8.5J wheels

    18” Tyre recommendations

New 18" steel wheels with 255/45/18 Bridgestone Turanza T005 tyres (courtesy of John Brown Wheels). Have ditched the 'swamper' look and gone back to these and B14's. Am considering going a bit lower, but may need to trim or remove the mudflaps if I do. (John Brown Wheels | Alloy Wheel & Tyre...

    18” or 19”?

Well the fact that you’re only allowed to go +2 isn’t really an issue since, for a T32, there aren’t really any good (load-rated) options in 20” tyres anyway. Without going (IMHO) excessively big like 275/40/R20. So 18” or 19” is good! Depends perhaps on usage & style: In 19” there is a really...

    18” or 19”?

Thanks for info, interesting your comment that the OEM Sportsline looking undersized and possible looking under-tyred. your opinion is interesting and gives room for thought so I thank you for that. if I going to the cost and expense of changing then maybe I should be looking at 19s not...

    Offset for 18” alloys

Is the standard offset 45mm? I’m looking at some Supermetal Cell 18” wheels from Wheelbase. It’s says I can select my own offset, what would you recommend? They are 8.5J They come with 255/45 tyres.

Offset decision - worrying over nothing?

Hi, Currently have Wolfrace Munichs: 18 inch, 8.5J, ET45. Tyres are 255/45/18. I'm lowered by 40mm. Sadly one too many kerb scrapes, thus looking to replace - looking at Alkatec Evo 1 - as can get at good price. Sticking with 18", 8.5J, however offset is 35 (come in either 45 or 35)...

    Tyres for 18s Sportline Wheels - 255/45 vs 235/50 vs 235/55

I have 255/45-18 on my T32. We're looking at the 235/55 also as the ride is harsh on the 45 profiles. Over rough roads the van crashes and bangs over bumps, it's really not pleasant. We're running 30mm lowered front and rear.

    B14 height

My B14 komforts had 5mm left on the adjuster and was 720mm from the ground to middle of the arch. This was before i removed them and put the CRS springs in. Also, running sportline alloys with 255/45/18 tyres. Depends on how much is in the van I guess, mine fairly empty.

Will my 20” wheels affect my speedometer?

@Bav correct. I’ve just ordered some 18” and will be fitting 255/45’s to keep my rolling diameter the same. Easier to increase the overall size with a T6 and keep the speedo accurate than with a T6.1 Edit: Unfortunately the wheels I’ve just purchased are 7.5J so the max tyre width is 235 So, in...
