18" satin black Dezent TE alloys with 255/45/18 Hankook Icept Evo 2 tyres. These are direct fit, no spigot rings or different bolts required.
The minimum tread depth is 7mm and the wear is totally even as my van had standard suspension. The tyre date code is 3417. They're in great condition...
So currently running 18 inch toluca alloys with 255/45/18 and lowered 40mm... getting around 10k miles on the fronts. Considering changing to 235/50/18 to see if that improves the life of the tyres and improves the ride.... anyone else swapped over..? Any issues with rubbing..? Cheers
@Loz - Sorry to re-ignite this topic again but I am still struggling to find a definitive answer. I have a T6.1 2020 which has been converted to a camper, when I brought it from new from the converter it came with 18" 255/45 R18's (WolfRace Aero) that always reported about 2/3 under so 30 on...
Hi folks.
I have a camper conversion T6.1.
Came with standard 16" wheels but I switched to 18" about six months ago. It's not lowered and on standard suspension too.
New wheels came with Hankook Ventus Prime 2 tyres, 255/45 R18 103H tyres.
I just checked my pressures ahead of a big road...
Hi TonyJH, do you mind me asking what type of tyre are your 255/45s? Found the Bridgestone Weather controls I had have worn to slicks very quickly - surveying other options. Thanks!
I'm thinking of putting AT tyres on my t6.1 sportline.
Going for the urban sport look...
At the moment I have 2554518 tyres on the oem alloys.
Looking at 235 55 18 AT3 tyres still on my oem alloys and some wheel spacers to pull the wheels out from under the arches a bit..
Opinions please...

Hi All, What is the best option between nice-looking alu wheels and comfort? I was thinking about 18inch 255/45/18 103xl? I would love to get 20 inch but with London potholes is not the best idea.
Currently on oem wheels.
Hi all, I’ve done lots of research but there’s little info on what I’m after.
I’m planning to change my canteras for some lightweight 9x18’s all round. I’m limited to tyre choices as it’s a t32.
A few questions for those with experience..
Would a 275 40 or 275 45 be a bit too wide on a 9” and...
Hi all!
Anyone got any pics with the recommended tyre of 255/45/18 on the Stiches & Steel wheel with standard suspension? If so I’d there any rubbing on full lock or over bumpy roads?....cheers!
2554518 is the VW suggested fitment a taller 55 version could possibly be the source of chaffing and make the wheel arch feel a tad too snug... there might well be a slight misreading of the situation by the Speedo too?
Hi All
I apologise in advance for the thread but I feel like I am going around in circles reading previous threads and other online information.
I have just purchased a set of Amarok steels (non banded) for my T30 Kombi and these are currently being stripped and powder coated. I have been...
Not sure if this helps but I checked some old notes when I got my Banded Amaroks from Duchy.
Falken FK510 255/4518" 103 Load rating

No idea if they fit them still, got my local garage on the case, both my rear shock absorbers gave up so thought it would be the ideal excuse to try these....im hoping for a little improvement but on potholes etc im expecting the same
I‘ve gone from 40 mpg, with 17” factory wheels and tyres, down to 35 mpg with 18” rims and 255/45 budget tyres. I reckon I’d be about 36/37 mpg with a premium set of tyres with lower rolling resistance. You just can’t beat the physics I’m afraid.
