Hi, No the battery is in a cupboard at the middle / back - the wire appears eat the starter battery so was hoping to connect it somewhere there.

Eventually, the way to go is solar on the roof & a maintainer feeding from the leisure battery to the starter battery.

Another vote for the Ablemail. I fitted one when I did a leisure battery upgrade and it is brilliant. Fit and forget. Has kept my ailing starter battery running fine. It is really simple to fit, just 3 wires, so definitely worth looking to do yourself.

@Skyliner33 Thats a midi fuse block that I added myself, from the starter battery feed that comes up under the passenger seat base.

Your starter battery will only ever charge to 80% to leave headroom for regenerative charge from breaking. It’s not uncommon for it to sit at 12.3v

Update on this... Starter motor eventually gave way after it cranked for ages one morning. Local garage changed the starter motor (used a lucas OEM one) and its now starting much quicker BUT it still does have a 2-3 second crank if left for a while, nothing like the 15-20 seconds it was...

Yep just put it in place of the relay, that gives you a high current feed from the starter battery and a charge signal.

Problem is now after disconnecting leisure battery from vehicle chassis and only to shunt B-, is that the starter battery ALT+ is only showing +8v. The only way to get a charge from the ALT+ is to connect the B- on the shunt to chassis.

Further update to this..... I was away in the van over the weekend hooked up. All okay other than the starter battery symbol started flashing again. The panel reading on the starter battery was 12.0v this dropped to 11.9 as we were about to set off home. The van started okay however. I got one...
