...This is a little complicated but stick with me.
The van I’ve seen is a WAV 2016 Caravelle 72000 miles with para hand controls and a side wheelchair lift. DSG gearbox which I would like.
My wife is a full time wheelchair user so would like to keep the wheelchair lift on the van. These are 4k...
Has anyone ever fitted a kit that would allow the 3rd row of a T6 Shuttle 8 seater to be removed and a wheelchair to be pushed into the back and secured?
Building the ramp would be easy, seat belts are either side... just the rest i need to looking to..... It for a friends dad who is 90 and not...
Hello All,
I'm looking at purchasing a Wheelchair Access Vehicle and removing the wheelchair ramp. The original wheelchair conversion involved lowering the floor and the installation of the ramp. I believe that part of the bumper has been cut away for this installation.
Has anyone dealt with...
I have a question regarding dashboard buttons. I have aa VW T6.1 Multivan Highline adapted for wheelchair user, because I'm in wheelchair. I have 2 buttons that i need to add to the dashboard preferably. One is for the inverter used for wheelchair charger and the second button is for the...
...have removed a single seat and put bench seat in middle row and have a single seat in the third row to be able to then fit our daughters wheelchair and lift but are now facing the issue of trying to reach the connection points to connect the wheelchair into the car ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I can do it but just...
...down ramp (which I agree would necessitate a new floor)
So I'd say that the process here is quite simple:- remove the lift, remove the wheelchair lashing points, refit a seat in the place of the wheelchair lashing points. Job done!
Decent vehicle in my view. Don't be put off by the BiTurbo...
Thanks that was my thinking. I'll go and have a good look when I get chance. Advantage is that it's 10K or so less that similar vehicles, which allows a bit of self-warranty cash floating around too.
Got the slide out finished today. Repurposed from a folding wheelchair ramp out to of a taxi. Fits 3 600x400 euro boxes and room at the back for chairs, table, sunshade and toilet tent also room for a pretty sizeable water container. Space under it holds all the thermal window blinds.
Just had front and rear pads done today on our T6.1 at VW van centre Derby, £495. Thank god we didn’t have to pick up this bill as they are covered in the cost of our lease. Wheelchair user or not I would try and do them myself at that price if it was a van I owned :eek:
hello folks, I saw a 2017 wheelchair adapted vw Caravelle Executive, with v low mileage for sale. I am v tempted, because of the low mileage & comparatively low price. But, I don't need the wheel chair access or remote powered fold out ramp. I would like to know if buy this, would I be able to...
...advice please. Currently looking for a t6 as a base vehicle for a camper conversion. One that I have looked at has a dropped rear floor and electric ramp for wheelchair access. Has anyone any experience of how much work is involved in restoring the rear floor etc to standard?
Thanks in advance
I think all the wheelchair ramp fabrication is still there - they've just levelled off the floor so should be structurally sound - just not fit for purpose!

Hi,
We require a vehicle that meets our severely disabled daughters needs. Started thinking about wheelchair accessible vehicles but if I'm going to remortgage the house to afford one then it may as well be a camper and we can really enjoy it as a family. It will also help with personal care...
