I have been given a set of VW winddeflectors by a mate who now no longer has a van, only issue being there are no clips or sittings with them.
Don’t suppose anyone has a fitting guide and also where I can get the clips etc I need?
Pics for reference.
I have the very basic one in case we ever get around to camping in the 6.1 Caravelle and it fits fine even with the winddeflectors - just a bit tricky to use the front door as you'd expect but mirrors are fine
They're good. Haven't dropped out yet. If you jetwash in the area where the clips are it'll let a little bit of water in. Other than that they're spot on. I didn't wanna buy a set that needed a screw. I'd recommend.
...all the replies, useful stuff. Just glad to know I've not got shonky insulation and it's normal. Got a front window cover and a tailgate latch, and winddeflectors so should be able to manage as we are, got a white poptop which helps massively, and better once the top half is all wrapped...
...up for that though!! :p
Not sure how much difference it makes but driving at 65mph it's a very quiet place to be!
In terms of the winddeflectors, the side windows are very slightly thicker which means it takes a bit longer for the rubbers to form to the shape with the winddeflectors fitted.
Had I read your post before fitting the winddeflectors, I would have held off. As it is - all ok here.
Hope you get that sorted out cheaply. At least it didn't happen the other way round where the window motor pushes the window up too far.
Good luck.

Now at this point I had done lots of work on the van but there were lots of unfinished bits, such as no flooring, so that was the task now.
Other tasks were just tidying up areas in the garage section, and fitting new door seals and winddeflectors.
Here is the video for you all -
You might want to get some extra clips from ebay, the Heiko's have a habit of falling out after a while!
Especially on the side that is parked towards the sun, the sticky bits can be affected.
I’d be interested to see a pic of this please. We have a camperking with the same wind strip deflector and wind noise can be pretty annoying so would be keen do something similar….
Good quality winddeflectors and best price. The problem I had was that Euro car parts couldn't get the part number right - 1st try wrong part No., 2nd try same again, 3rd time correct part but 1 x trim was broken in the box, 4th time they got it right. Quite frustraiting.
Not a necessity. Get a tailgate stand off latch to vent though the tailgate and still have it locked. And winddeflectors (I can recommend climair) - this way you can keep front windows open an inch or so without getting rain in and without them being open being obvious to bypassers. With these...
...the difference in temperature to your advantage by cracking open the cab windows an inch and using a tailgate latch bar.
If you have winddeflectors on the cab windows the van will still be 99% weather proof and you’ll get a strong flow of air due to convection.
All covered elsewhere on the...
As I didn't like the idea of drilling the van bodywork, I fitted a pair of Heko deflectors which took all of 20 minutes. I can't say that I've ever noticed any wind noise or issues with closing. And here's a picture...
You should be able to pick up a very low miles for a little over £40 k now .
Have a look on auto trader.
The five seaters comes with most tec as standard I am still loving my cargo.
Just fitted a set of Heko winddeflectors to the doors and look and work well and at £40 very good value.
