    EGR Insufficent Flow - Carista

EGR replaced a few days ago. £878.24. The EGR Cooler and the EGR Valve/pump come as one unit. The full unit was replaced. at 50,000 mls, treated it as a consumable item. As mentioned earlier, another 50K mls of no EGR issues (hopefully). The insufficient flow error came up a few weeks ago...

    Strong smell of fumes

More than likely a split EGR pipe. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/egr-flexi-pipe-exhaust-fumes-in-cab-hissing-from-engine-bay.8076/post-370740

Upgrade Charge Air Cooler from Crafter 04L145749L -> 04L145749H

I finally managed to trace the source of the leak. I installed an EGR blanking plate and drove a few miles, obviously 'off-road.' After removing it and inspecting the EGR cooler, I found it to be very wet. My leak was so slow at one point that I thought it had stopped, but I’ve finally found the...

    EGR cleaner spray

Hi, Somewhat of a mechanical novice here I’m afraid but wanting to learn. I have an intermittent engine light related to EGR that comes on my T6. I’ve read some of the threads about using spray cleaners and my intention is to get it booked into a garage for a proper job at some point. In the...

    The dreaded engine warning light…

EGR flush apparently "not covered" by VW extended warranty?

Try a good independent garage IMO if you want to save a pile of £££££. As I mentioned before the EGR shouldn’t be clogged at 22K, more normal at 70 - 90K. I would get a second opinion, post fault codes on the Forum.

What else can can I expect to break?

    EGR connect

looks like this one, so the EGR plug is unplugged. . . . but no warning lights on dash? - new van to you? The EGR may have been mapped out? - assuming you would get an orange dash light for a faulty EGR if not.

EGR Issue - Delete the right way forward?

You would need to remove the EGR and buying a blanking kit for the pipes. Then get it mapped out of ecu. When my EGR in my trusty works van went for the 3rd time I bit the bullet and had it removed and mapped out. Vans been great since

DPF deleted, how to remove filter?

Hi, New to the forum. I own a T6 2019 . I’ve had a egr, add blue and dpf delete with a remap. I have been told that I need to get the dpf drilled with a few holes not a complete removal of the whole filter inside. Can you remove the dpf from the vehicle without having to cut it off? Thanks in...

Hi Andy I have similar probs with my 68 plate did you ever get your issues sorted? Did you opt for blanking off the Egr cooler? D

EGR Deleted but... Some new fault codes P04CE and P04D0 Temperature Sensor

So, I have had the EGR assembly removed completely, blanked off and a coolant bypass pipe fitted due to a coolant leak suspected from the EGR cooler. However, despite the tuners efforts I'm assuming a temperature sensor is still being read and needs to be "disabled" perhaps. Would any of you...

Cfca egr delete but leaving dpf

When I looked into this darkside said I would have to remove the dpf. So I went down the tafmet route instead, 20km with the tafmet fitted no issues and dpf regen as normal. It may the way tuners program out the egr is the only thing I could think that would stop the regen process

The old EGR and DPF chestnut

...your feedback on. I have a 2015 CFCA T6 Multivan. I've now reconditioned the engine and had a new turbo fitted, thanks to the corroded EGR cooler that we all know about. My mechanic blocked off and deleted out the EGR function. I have the van back now and am driving it regularly. I...

EGR flush apparently "not covered" by VW extended warranty?

...Plan) for my ex AA 2017 T6 150 with 69k miles. The don't have any pre checks now it just has to be under 6 years and under 100k miles. Had the EGR code come up with EML so booked into Sinclairs Van center in Cardiff today. They came back and said an EGR flush is needed which isn't covered by...
