Hi
I've got a VW t6 102 and have a couple of issues. I recently had my egr replaced as it was blocked. since this work was carried out I have an engine fault for egr low flow. I've also noticed when I rev my engine and let the revs die off it makes a noise around the airfilter housing like a...
The EGR valve is still fitted but I've removed and blanked the pipe before it, the one with the corrugated part at the back of the engine that normally cracks. The pipe itself was fairly clogged (but not cracked) and so was the valve from what I could see. The hissing was there before and after...
Had this fault come up last month and checked out by AA vw specialist, it's ran ok for 850miles and now back up.... obviously have searched and understand it's insufficient flow but took a pic of the values on his test and wondered if the readings give any indication that a flush may help..? Or...
I found something…….
When I bought the new o ring for turbo to charge air pipe, I also bought a new gasket for egr outlet into inlet manifold…..
I took the pipe off, and noticed a black cob of muck, cleaned it back and found a brased repair to a hole. Looks like it’s been leak too as this pic...
Hi I had a split egr rear pipe and my T6 was out of warranty I spoke directly to VW Head Office to explain the situation and to bring it to there attention that it was a safety issue as fumes where entering the Cab and I was really happy that they agreed to do it for free under warranty.
While oil leakes are not covered. Which I think is a bit bad really.
They all in extended warranty is still worth considering.
We've had dual mass flyer wheel, EGR cooler, EGRpipe, all replaced under warranty.
Over £2k worth of work.
Hi. Last time I tried to buy parts for my local TPS dealer (Cheadle Stockport) was sent away as I’m not “trade” - although I’m a limited company.
Can anyone recommend a better branch who wants my money? I need a EGR flexi pipe at some point soon
Thanks
I am looking at the rear egr valve (as best I can) It looks like it it is the new style pipe (fatter with the rough rather than smooth exterior). Whereas the front pipe looks pretty shiny (as does the egr valve) the back pipe is dark brown/black colour. I think I am getting fumes in the cab...
There could be a leaking egrpipe which is more noticeable when on regeneration. Advice is to allow the regeneration to complete rather than repeatedly interrupting the process.
Selling a rear EGRpipe and gaskets / bolts for a euro 6 engine.
New revised design.
Selling on behalf of someone who is no longer a T6 owner, and isn't on the forum.
Looking for £80 posted, a quick google shows these have gone up quite a bit, so good excuse for a bargain.

Hey n10b, it’s been doing it since before I changed the EGR plus new reinforced pipe. I could smell it in the cab sometimes.
Now no more smell and CO meter shows reading of zero.
I don’t have heated windscreen.
It doesn’t handle badly but these stock shocks aren’t factory fresh with 145,000km...
Ask if your van has the updated EGRpipes fitted, they were modified increase the exhaust gas flow.
Plus check for split EGRpipes at the flexible bellows, you’ll see photos here EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.
Plus as I asked on post #2. Can you smell exhaust...
...yesterday 150bhp with 90k. Whooshing and loss of power, then coil light flashing and whooshing stopped but limp home. Garage found the front EGRpipe flange braze had failed. Did some stainless steel weld on it and it seems as good as new, no pressure loss and no further faults. Very helpful...
