Simple electrics set up (Renogy based)

I have 100Ah Renogy, the same DCDC as you plan, 100W solar, and one BT2 module on the charger. This will show you on the app the voltage on van and leisure batteries, and how much charge is going to each. I have the inbuilt Bluetooth on the battery, but its stage of charge estimate is generally...

portable solar to leisure battery connection

...I think I know what I need for the cable between the Victron and the battery, its what I need between the Victron and solar panel I'm mostly struggling to find. The panel is 100w, I've seen cheaper Victrons, will the cheaper one suffice and what are the differences between them all?

Are dokio taking the piss ?

...dokio is only producing 60w. Chances are the is a crack in a cell or break In the busbar. As the 300w units are made up of multiple 50w or 100w cell packs. Ie the 300w panel may be 3* 100w panels.... All producing 22v but connected in parallel. So two of the panels may have faults.... But...

    Flexi solar panel replacement

I've done it (to change from a 100W to a 200W panel) but I used vinyl wrap under the original panel which meant once I'd cut the adhesive using a nylon thread I could remove the vinyl and it left the roof clean and ready for a new application of vinyl and panel. It worked a treat.

    [Guide] Mobile Solar Panels ? . . . - How I Did It -

...MPPT. I’ve always used the mppt built into my ctek until it went bandit recently. The most I ever saw in summer direct sun was 5A from my 100w panel. I bought a Victron 100/15 in Spain as a temp solution and regularly see 7.5A. I have a similar power use to you, albeit I’ve got a LiFePo...

Clueless solar question -> Ecoflow, Jackery etc.

Van has EHU, I also carry a 500 Jackery with 100w folding solar panel which can charge the jackery or the vehicles leisure battery.....

Reversing Camera - wiring harness route

...will be to try and sort Solar too (split charging leisure and a battery pack (eco flow). Got a quote from hillside but seemed very high for a 100w panel (when I think more would be more sensible and I ‘think’ you can source full diy packs for a decent chunk less). I don’t know where the best...

CTEK D250 SE and solar panel.

The Victron is one of the solutions I've been looking at, so good to hear. I think I need to research a bit more, and maybe I'll eventually understand the subject more.

    Portable Solar Panel

...days. . . . example battery link cable, get this, then cut off the socket. use the ring terminals to battery/busbar/fuse box. - and connect the cut end to the solar MPPT battery terminals. this 10A fused cable is good for the 100W - so is fine for that 80W panel. https://amzn.to/3IKWLIo

    [Guide] Mobile Solar Panels ? . . . - How I Did It -

Having read so many posts and threads, I am now totally confused. In summary, I would like to use solar to charge or top up my ecoflow river pro. Will the renogy 100w suitcase portable solar panel be enough or do I need a one with more Watts. Hope that makes sense. Thanks everyone.

Leisure Battery - accidentally drained, what next?

In normal circumstances the van gets driven more than once a week. In an unlikely set of unfortunate coincidences I messed up and left the electrics on after testing the diesel heater and the van was not used for a couple of weeks. And it’s rained constantly during that period so solar was...

i have the 100w Renogy Suitcase, which had a fuse on the battery clip. it come with crock leads and a basic controller, but i swapped out the controller for a victron and swapped the crock leads out for a fused anderson conector directly conected to the battery.. +++...

    [Guide] Clayton LPS II 2500 - 1kWh (leisure battery + Inverter) -- How I Done It --

...in mine...Knights conversion So far so good and does pretty much all we need. Linked to the hook up for on-site charging (rarely needed) and 3 x 100w solar on the roof Hoping that when they finally sort the app they have a bluetooth attachment if it's not built in the older ones. Mines in a...

    Understand Solar Energy readings

The type and size of battery would let people give better advice. Can you take some photos. In the picture you posted in each bar the bright white bit is bulk charge. The middle bit is when it’s nearly full and so has dropped into absorption. The darkest part at the top is when the battery is...

Lithium battery upgrade with PMS charging system

...replace a traditional battery that I killed over the summer, running it flat. Current system comprises CTEK D250SA for battery to battery and a 100w PV Logic solar panel routed it through a Victron 100/15 solar controller. Initially I had used the CTEK but then upgraded with the Victron to...

    USB-C PD charger

100w PD is a thing now. I have the 100w pd cables. But only have 60w pd chargers.... A small inverter Is a good call.... But a bit lossy for a permanent install..... Perfect for a temp plug and go setup. The 45w and 60w plug units, 12v sockets above both get hot when running. I've not...

Charging with solar panel and cigarette lighter

that panel looks very small. . . 10-15w id guess? 100w panel may get you 6A, so 10w may get you 0.6A. . . . (that solar controller says 8A, but you would need 150w worth of panels to get near that) +++++++++++++ i think that panel is way to small to make any difference to you starter...
