    Losing Coolant

Interesting read this, mine is currently under investigation for the loss of coolant after it's just had the EGR link pipe (split) and valve changed. Still don't have it back yet though.

    Egr and egr cooler leak

Yeh so the pipe that I circled in the photo was damaged during fitting the new egr and was leaking coolant they told me that it was a faulty part and to save the wait at vw they would change it for me. Whilst they played around they managed to split a coolant hose so the day after I got it back...

    DPF regeneration & power loss

Hi all I am hoping one of you fine people might read this and think - yes, I know the answer! I have a 2017 Caravelle 150DSG with 20k on the clock. It did c2k a year for 5 years until June 2022 when a family bought it and did 9k miles in 1 year. I have now bought it and am perplexed by the...

Great to hear you are now running fault free mate. It is a breath of fresh air (no pun Intended) when the rear EGR is removed and deleted. The chap who works with Chris on the mapping is a bloody genius and if the maps he provides are good enough for race teams then any T6 would benefit from...

EGR cleaned but still having issues.

That’s good news. What’s the age/engine in yours? Was this a warranty repair?

Crank seal leak - urgent repair?

Many thanks - super helpful. There's a drip tray (I think?) under leak so not easy to see. Yes frustrating not done when they replaced DMF and clutch in October. And waste having to put a new cambelt in but I'm going for it since would be nice to have everything right at least intitially!

    loss of power [Resolved]

Hi guys, my van is making a loud hissing noise from the engine when putting my foot down and there is a huge loss of power, I'm presuming it's a boost hose? that's come off or split? anything else i should be looking for? there is no engine light on. while the van is idling it won't rev above...

...a fun drive when you want to play and a supper smooth one when you just want to potter about. As happened with @T6ARF we also found a split EGR pipe which was taken care of (Chris had fun and games doing that ) and also addressed the shite Adblue system issues once and for all which...

    Engine start up

Can anyone please help? I've got a 140bhp Euro 5, with the engine code of CAAC. I have noticed as of late that when I go to start the engine say in the morning, it almost struggles to catch and then finally it does. I don't have to do it multiple times, just the once. It's almost like the...

    Vw T6 102 EGR swap?

Further update (not sure this is interesting to anyone but myself!): there appears to be a great deal of variation between T6 builds, even VW dealers were struggling to pin down exactly what turbo/EGR combination were on my van even though I supplied build codes, vin, reg etc. the solution was...

EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

Just replaced the rear egr pipe, split and filled cab with fumes. VW have seriously modified this problematic part, cast elbow and a flexi that actually does flex.

    New arrival

If it’s still under warranty get VW to do it. Same happened to mine and when it went in they spotted my egr pipe was split and my DMF was noisy so did I the lot under warranty.

Crank seal leak - urgent repair?

Hi I picked up a VW T6 with 45K mileage. It had dual mass flywheel and clutch and cambelt done back in October '21 and it's done less than 5k since then. Thought I'd see about a VW all-in-one package but when they checked the car they said the oil level was way too high, and there was an leak...

    Welcome new members

Hello all! bought this a few weeks ago. Ex Farrier van that had a conversion started, but needs finishing off. Looking forward to putting my stamp on it. A few issues to sort, EGR pipe split, glow plugs need changing as ECL came on and needs a cambelt. Only done 60K, so hopefully once they are...

Want a T6 204 DSG but are they reliable?

Mine has been generally reliable. 2017 204 DSG PV. None of the DEF shenanigans or unnerving unreliability that is so often reported, it's a superb engine and drive. Great torque and drivability. It still astonishes me that I have a 2.0l derv van that's more powerful that a Sierra Cosworth...
