Yes I have, in Germany we were able to purchase modules that adapt the signal of the halogen lights to the signal that the canbus LED lights need. The modules are expensive, but everything works. The height adjustment with the original switch in the cabin, dimming DRL when indicating.. it all...

Yes, it would work, similar performance to getting the OEM H7s but with the Led DRL. Some reviews have said the Led indicator strip is not very visible in some circumstances, but I had heard they had improved them in the latest version. As said above, still would need coding.

I went for the bulbs linked below (as recommended previously on here) for my H7 DRLs. They work well and do not give a bulb warning (I’ve had them for about 6 months and used regularly). I did have one warning once, due to a low starter battery, which reset when I restarted a couple of minutes...

At £20, my redundant H4 headlights took a couple of months to sell to someone using them temporarily on a T5 to T6 front end conversion. The replacement H7 headlights I bought were a direct fit for me. The only Carista coding needed was to make the dip and main bulbs stay on when on full beam...

Mmmm, I think you are right on that one. I have H7 but with standard bulbs. I was sure I’d read that an LED bulb would be hidden, but I think I’ve confused it with the likes of the transporter HQ headlights. I’d edit my post if I could. Well spotted.

I only got upgraded H7s for the dipped, as that's where the real improvement over H4s is, and kept the original H7s in the main beam.

Quite possibly yes. The LED DRL could be having an impact. If you’ve got LED headlight bulbs in, that could have an impact too.

Yes, OBD11 can disable T6 lamp diagnostics - each of them separately.

That’s true. Shame the H7s aren’t legal although I can see why with low quality versions. Philips though have some incredible quality headlight bulb replacements using LED. I guess they’d be alright behind a projector lens.
