    LifePO4 upgrade plus inverter

Yeah, I know there are limitations with the C-Tek re Solar input hence me going for a 100W (and it was cheap!!) but I could add a panel in the future

Is a 100w Solar Panel suitable

If it's 100% sunny you can get 6A ish charge from a decent 100w setup. Assuming you have a 100ah AGM battery. You might be able to get a day or so depending on your loads. So start with the 100w kit and see how you go. Future of upgrades could be.... A second 100ah battery for longer run...

    Temporary solar advice

That's some good info. Maybe I should look into a 200w or 2 x 100w panels. I never thought about suction cups.

Solar panel capacity on pop top?

I put my 100w Renogy across the roof, mainly to give me space for roof rack in front of it, but this might give you a few more dimensions to search.

    Victron 75/10 or 75/15 ?

just add in a MC4 fly lead to the 75/15 controller. then when camping, just plug it in. . . you will get power from both 100w panels. ie: https://amzn.to/4ajr2tD and . . . add something like these in with your existing panel. https://amzn.to/3x3yRpc . then just add...

Powering a camper from a power pack without a leisure battery?

...just as you mention. . . the only draw back with these portable power packs is the slow recharge rate from 12v. . . all are limited to the 100w / 8A input limiter, as above this the 12v plug socket will melt.. . . . in a nutshell they can take longer to charge than drain down - so net...

    Sca rails

...going around in circles as to how to progress. I also want around 300W so need to use more of the roof anyway. Expect that Hillside quote is for a 100W bonded, with an unknown controller. I spoke to them about solar panels when I purchased mine and they were too restrictive on what they...

    Portable Solar panel confusion

...you might want to add a fuse on the positive cable next to the battery connection as it comes unfused. Also, be aware of the limitations of a 100w panel with a PWM controller. The specs say 4.4a max charge rate which you'll only realistically get on a full sunny day at midday. You fridge...

Are dokio taking the piss ?

I’ve tried covering each panel and it’s about the same drop each time so they all seem to be the same and I guess they must all be working !

Solar Panel one large or 2 small

...linearly. Half the sunlight doesn't equate to half the voltage. The wattage of the panels is more important. Simply put, a 200w panel is two 100w panels on the same board. 2 separate 100w panels will give you redundancy if one fails but it's really swings and roundabouts. I've no doubt...

    Renogy Inverter

Are dokio taking the piss ?

So the load was just a leisure battery in this instance but I guess my fridge was having a rest .. it’s connected to the load output of the victron and can draw up to 100w when it’s angry

    Bluefusion or Renogy portable 100w?

I’m about to push the button on a portable plug n play solar kit and wondering which of these people would recommend? I’ve read through a lot of @Dellmassive solar thread and these come up a lot. Any advantages one over the other? I only need one occasionally so just want something that has...

    Bluetti to 12v van socket

...the EB55 will drain dead flat into the LB as it's much lesser capacity than van battery.... so not really achieving what you want. .. You could look at a portable 100w solar panel. That could be used to a: connect to the ctek to charge the van (assuming a ctek DC-DC) And b: charge the...

Splitting solar power for our new Bluetti AC180 and our leisure battery

...battery. While I appreciate the solar panel EcoFlow charging will likely be a lengthy process, it will be handy to have that option available. As a backup, I have also bought a 100w Renogy suitcase solar panel, which can connect directly to the EcoFlow to provide simultaneous charging.......

    Hillside Birchover

It did seems a a bit steep for what was proposed. I did however ask them to fit SCA roof rails so I could retrofit my own choice of panel and MPPT controller at a later date.
