I’d speak to kufatec. Those dongles can be updated via USB, maybe they can supply a firmware for the dongle that can remove the coding it’s added. Failing that VCDS could reverse the changes. You don’t need the original coding, it’s just a couple of boxes to un-tick.

Well, that's as long as I get a quote for it. I was looking up KUFATEC website. It looks like the cost of the unit is €653.76 including delivery. This kind of works out to be about $1008.38AUD. So I'm thinking I should be asking for at least this much.

Kufatec is German so it’s all LHD, the bcm would be on the left for them so you have to reverse the two pins in the bcm
