Hi I know this thread is a good few months old now but did you ever get this issue diagnosed? I have exactly the same problem, once my T6 reach’s 40-45mph I get a shaking under the van and I feel it through the steering wheel but it passes after a few seconds, I also get a slight knocking noise...
...start immediately after you'd had other work done on the van?
The only suggestion I can offer is to search previous threads on here relating to driveshafts (if you haven't already).

Have you considered Dual Mass Flywheel failure?
I spoke to TPS and they want £750 for a new offside driveshaft!! The only aftermarket part I can find is GSP branded, which I've never heard of before. Anyone else heard of these?
...miles, gearbox went 'pop' under load coming out of a BP garage - no power or drive to the wheels, spline on the inner drive shaft and driveshaft had worn away. Needed new driveshaft too. £4995 for new gearbox plus VAT, 10 hours labour at local independent.
Turbo went at 197,065 miles. £1400...
Cuiken- sincerely hope your perseverance pays off . I had a clicking noise coming from front of my van, local garage suspected driveshaft issue so had this and top mounts replaced- had the van back 2 days and now I hear this intermittently is this anything like the noise you have??? Thoughts on...
It’s a complex vehicle. Lots of things will go wrong.
It will Be expensive to maintain over time and mileage. 1000 per year in maintenance up to 75k miles. 1500 a year up to 150k. All good if any main component doesn’t fail before: turbo or twin turbo, DSG, EGR, Driveshaft.
...7th at around 1800 rpm and higher with light throttle. Mine is 204 DSG 4motion with 130K km
I found somwhere that it might be related to driveshaft flex joint. No luck with part No though.. Local dealer would only quote me for the whole assembly with driveshaft, around 1000€ :(
Did you have...
Inner CV joints rarely fail, most likely the outer. Unless you really want to change the whole driveshaft it would be cheaper to simply change the outer CV joint.
Hi,
I have the above item, unused, it’s an heavy item and would be open to offers for it.
Ideally buyer collects, but postage can be available at cost within the UK.
looked like the bairing had failed and there was slight ware on my splines
Starline Driveshaft | Euro Car Parts mine is a 5 speed start line so might be diffrent for your van
The leak in the picture looks like it would just be the output seal (driveshaft seal) on the gearbox.
Are you saying there is another leak on the timing belt side of the engine too? Or is the gearbox side leak the only one it has..?
Might be a bit late, I’ve not used these guys but was impressed with their reviews. They do DSG repairs. I don’t need one but I’ve literally today just enquired as I want my driveshaft checked for the reasons mentioned in some earlier replies
