Never attach anything to the negative battery terminal. It will bypass the shunt and the van will not see the discharge so it will not recharge it. It's a surefire way to give yourself endless electrical issues and killing the starter battery.
Fitted the cable for my b2b charging. Both seats out. Glovebox out. Cablerouted. Passenger side floor sound deadened.
Drivers side to sound deaden tomorrow
Hi there .. I realise this is an old post but did you find out what the 25A Fuse was feeding ... I have exactly the same on my T6 DSG and can't trace the cableroute
Hi guys, looking at getting front and rear dash cam for caravelle, wondering what is the best cableroute to get to get the wires to the back. Don’t really want to have to disturb headlining, so thinking is it possible to push a wire pull through from the back to top of A pillar? Or is it best...
If you are fitting NS enclosure, that is the most direct route from passenger seat. If off side enclosure you can go under driver seat and into B pillar then under window to rear wheel arch:thumbsup:
Wondering if this is adequate for the purpose. To be fitted inline at the bonnet end of the EHU cable I'll be routing from under the bonnet to supply my Victron smart charger and onwards to a double wall socket...
So I ended up trying a connection direct at the engine battery with my solar panel and controller . The positive I terminated on one of the battery post nuts and the negative on a nearby chassis bolt. It works perfectly in keeping the battery charged up.
My challenge is how I can run the cables...
Thanks.
I had the wires from the AMT going directly into the Orion originally but the black plastic cover didn’t like the extra wires being there and didn’t close right so I changed it. The earth will go to the earth busbar. It’s arriving soon.
I’ve ordered that fused charger wire and will...
Could be the plenum full of leaves and detritus. The fan intake is quite low on the passenger side, or it could be tracking in through cable entries. Also check the AC drain hose isn’t disconnected.
I was under impression if I started down this route I’d have to change all electrics / hook up etc, well beyond me, is this an incorrect assumption? Is this only required if I went down the lithium battery route?
Hi All,
Looking for some advice on routing the positive cable from the main battery to the DC-DC charger and leisure batteries I am fitting in the rear of my T6.1.
The easiest option is that I already have a second battery under the passenger seat, which is factory fitted to power the...
Onto my next problem. A lack of foresight and forward planning means that having had the poptop done already, I now have no way to run the cable with the existing wires where they come through the tailgate.
I've fixed the rear camera internally for now but has anybody got any bright...
I think many do if they are also running a 12v charge feed as it's easy to route both at once so long as there is space.
There are a list of alternative points in this thread:

Thanks @Ads_Essex ours too is a euro5, so that may work well.
I was planning on lifting the front mat and routing through the bulkhead grommet, but perhaps don’t need to if what you’re saying is an option.
I presume you then routed cabling to and from the driver and passenger side beneath the...
...van carpeted out we have decided to fit a dash cam front and rear.
Skyline pop top fitted. And fully carpeted out.
So what is the best cableroute. Was trying to go along passenger side from A pillar to rear door, then use the tailgate rubber sleeve to get to the rear window.
But getting...
**UPDATE* I now have the instructions, kindly supplied by Paynewright and are visible below.
Has anyone got the instructions for fitting the tow bar electrics fuse panel, 000055212A, that fits under the passenger seat. I have the genuine kit but it didn't come with instructions.
Specifically...
