My DSG side button seems to not pop back home when selecting reverse . Gear goes in fine it just takes a tiny pull of the level to get the button to sit home fully . Any ideas?

Hi all, So we’ve had our 2018 T6 T32 150bhp Kombi LWB DSG about 2weeks now, I think it seems to struggle a little when reversing uphill there doesn’t seem to be any slippage from the DSG. Is this something I need to be concerned about or is it normal given it’s only a 2.0 diesel?

I have a T6 T32 Dsg and it’s load to the max. When it’s changing down gears after acceleration or changing from forward to reverse it has quite a violet bump. I’m guessing that it maybe the drive shaft splines worn out but hope someone may be able to confirm this. Thanks

Ex rac 120,000 miles when the vans been sitting it can take over a minute before you can feel drive engage. Reverse is ok. It is noisy at gearbox ‘faint rattle’ when driving! goes up gears ok but snatches a bit coming down on 5th 3rd . Any thoughts? Oil service has been done

I’m trying locate the reverse switch on dsg to get the rear reverse lights wired up as vechical was Oringaly manual but now 7 speed dsg. I assume it’s canbus as couldn’t see anything in the daigrams or dsg selector, possibly run threw bcm via canbus?

Could a flywheel cause engine vibrations at idle and revving more noticeable in reverse when lifting off the brake on a DSG?

No, no modifications yet. Just a plain Ravenna blue 150 DSG van. Rear reverse camera, heated windscreen, heated outside mirrors. Im told it's moisture. Where does moisture come from and if so why isn't that area galvanised/painted?

Reverse light switch is on the gearbox. It's not via the BCM so not monitored. Are you manual or DSG?

I think the manual box has a direct switch linked to the lights. So if the clocks are seeing the correct gear selection from the dsg, then the BCM must be seeing it too. So you will need to go to the BCM and check the reverse lights terminal above. You will need to test the feed at that...

This is a case of reversing. We've all felt the sluggish reverse response. Now we have concrete evidence even DSG detects the resistance to motion and screams for more power but the silly ECU just refuses giving it :p

If it helps, I have a 2019 T32 LWB DSG and reverse is sluggish to pick up/get going. When it does get going it feels underpowered and I've had trouble reversing up slopes, which I've just learned to actively avoid. That said, I love DSG and would never want to back to a manual.

My reversing sensors were playing up on recently converted van - dsg box. I reversed out of stepsons drive, looked in n/s mirror as I stopped and saw I was mm from telegraph pole - said f@@k - that was close and took foot of brake in panic and smacked into it!

That's a weird one then. Has the dash cluster been changed or anyone had it plugged in to VCDS or similar? Has it always been like this, or is it a spontaneous thing that's just mysteriously appeared?
