The original blue B14 used a H&R spring. That was the issue. The B14 Komfort uses a far superior Eibach spring. Eibach are the manufacturers VW use and recommend.
I've only ever had failed B14 dampers when fitted incorrectly (which is very very common) Travel nut used instead of the OEM top...
My startline was an easy swap as no air bags, heating elements, fancy electronics in the seat.
Undo 8 nuts, undo the relay mounting block and lift out. Remove 4 fixings from the floor and bolt in the new seat. Buy 2 floor bungs to tidy up holes in the floor covering.
Watch out on insurance for...
Very neat! Normal t-bolts are just 6mm so this is surely a ”heavy duty” solution.
I see you have nuts securing the U to the cross bar, meaning the box will be supported from below only by the width of the nut. Would it not be better to sandwich the box plastic in between two supporting plates...
Hi, a plastic nut cover on one of the scissor hinges came off and in a gale the canvas has bashed against it and done a small rip about half the way around the head of a nut. Incredibly irritating. What is the best way to seemlessly repair this? It is only maybe 5-10mm long and goes back...
For the DIY’s interested in the addition, here a pictorial insight to the work required
The handle needs the end finishers (circled) removing from the handle body and the handle mounting points (circled) need reducing in height by 8mm. This allows the bracket to fit flush with the cover.
The...
A friend with a Navara also found even if you have a decent hard top type cover the thing he didn't anticipate is that grub gets into the gap between the two glass panels where the hardtop meets the cab and it used to drive him nuts. Very much a first world problem but I guess if you use the...
I looked at a multi vehicle policy with Admiral. One of the things I found odd was I’d be covered on other peoples cars (with their permission) at just third party level BUT specifically no cover for any other van.
How they all come to different rules is beyond me.
The cynic in me says it’s...
If the driver's side works you haven't blown a fuse or damaged the motor, it is more likely that the passenger side is now slipping on the splined shaft that turns it.
Follow the wiper arm down and you'll see a round black cover which can be removed with a small flat screwdriver. Under there is...
If it's just the knob loose on the shaft (no sniggering at the back please) you might be able to glue it.
Unmount it and take it apart, looks like you can just remove the PCB from the back once the back cover is off? You may find you need to remove the knob and undo a nut below it first.
If...
@jimthevan What are those wheel nut you have there pal? Are they actual nuts or covers?
Looking at some Katos and want black nuts.
Also a question for everyone....I have read a lot of threads and still can't fully undestand the real world difference and reason for choosing 235 over 225 or...
Afternoon,
I’ve had a Reimo variotech 3000 seat installed in my T6 and notice there’s no plastic fascia down the offside covering the various nuts and bolts of the metal side plate… whereas there is on the nearside. Is this normal?!
Many thanks, Ben
Well what do you know?
Took the plastic cover off and the earth nut was loose. Waggled the earth wires and all faults came back. Moved them again and they all went and van started.
Tightened the nut down and it took four full 360deg revolutions to get it tight.
Can’t induce the fault again under...
