Just to say I had a disklok for my landie and the buggers who nicked it, popped it off like a bottle cap in 5min just from tin snipping the back plates and bending it. They didn’t bother with the lock element.
When I get a steering lock next I will be getting a through wheel variation which...
...and already have a few days leave booked to try it out, and generally pamper it.
I now realise how true the wallet emptying comments are, Disklok is here, first delivery from Transporter HQ on it's way, and an appointment for a tracker fitting made.
This forum has been a massive help in...
Definitely small.
I pick up my T6 on Monday (YAY!!!) and have already bought a new Disklok for it. Before purchase I called the company and checked the size.
Great firm to deal with, lock arrived the next day.
If you're talking about a Disklok there is no "installation" it's a portable steering lock that you fit to the steering wheel when leaving your van. It takes about a minute to fit.
I‘Ve used the Milenco High Security Steering Wheel Lock with my leather high line steering wheel, no marks. It’s got a sold secure gold rating as has the disklok.
Am I right in thinking that a 2021 T6.1 will take the small Disklok?
Already have a medium-sized one on current vehicle and they are great bits of kit. Collecting new (to me) baby beginning of next month and want her secure from the start.
Personally I’d go for a Disklok over a pedal lock, the Disklok is also a visual deterrent whereas the pedal lock isn’t.
You need the small size for the T6, not sure about the 6.1 but would imagine it would be the same.
Hi
Im sure this has been answered somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I am waiting for a new VW T6.1 DSG Highline Kombi in the next few weeks and was looking at a Disklok for security. Can anybody tell me which size I should be getting?
Thank you.
@Bav- Stickers come with the device. As well as the stickers and the device I also have a disklok fitted to the steering wheel. So hopefully enough visual deterrents to prevent the scumbags.
More like sitting on veranda (with obscure bluegrass music in the background,) chomping straw with a shotgun over his arm, muttering something about “darn vermin snake oil salesmen”
...tub on the passenger seat, held in place by the seatbelt. The tub is a wonderful "chucking place" for all manner of bits & bobs, and the disklok slips between the tub & the seat back. Without finding a cupboard for it, this has turned out to be the most stable place for it to live whilst in...
I've not come across a T6 yet that hasn't got a factory alarm. The S5 Deadlock I can get to wire into your alarm so it tells you when it's been triggered and they're thatcham and insurance approved.
Vanolarm... Well it isn't and not a product I'd be looking to sell.
Cheers
Chris
