    Team Ravenna Blue

Hi All, I join Team Ravenna Blue next Wednesday and want to know the diameter of the T6.1 steering wheel so I can get a disklok. Anyone kind enough to know or measure their for me please?

    Floyd!!

I have 2 single front seats and my Disklok sits on the floor in between them, never had it move yet.

...insist on a tracker however I mentioned that if I did get one fitted would they reduce my premium. They said that it wouldn't. I've got my disklok so that's my visual deterrent. I've been out chatting to a few garages this morning about security and tbh, I'm still a little unsure. Both...

    T6.1 Steering Wheel Disc-Lock

+1 for the disklok - it's big and expensive but really obvious I used to buy physical security products for computers and servers etc and the theory is that any experienced thief can get round any security given the time so what you need is something that presents the biggest and most awkward...

    Steering Wheel Lock

I think with a bit of brute force it may be possible to remove it without unlocking it. I foolishly bought the medium size without doing any research into the size of the T6 steering wheel, but as I also have a Ghost Immobiliser fitted the Disklok is there more as a visible deterrent than anything.

    Steering Wheel Lock

Disklok (small) works for us, and it fits all the other cars we own. Pete

Ha ha mate.........no, I should have been clearer! Dead easy to use......mine is silver too. What I should've said is it is bulky and I don't like having it loose in my van......but that's just me. If I have any doubts about parking it, you bet your boots I use it. I'm just funny about having a...

    Steering Wheel Lock

Definitely, I have passed on Large one, so I will not be buying that one. It looks like that small size would be most suitable in this instance.

Have a search on the site, I think it was discussed recently. Site specific Google search is often better as well

...is ...if you live in a high crime area ..or it’s parked for long periods out of your sight then any additional security is required ..disklok and other types will slow a theft down ...but a tracker will help to recover vehicle but what state you get it back in is anyones guess.. it’s all...

    T6.1 plastic gear-knob upgrade

...favour to ask. Can someone please just measure the width/diameter of their steering wheel of their highline model T6.1. Trying to source a Disklok for my upcoming van, so I need dimensions to match for one. Some members suggest small and some medium. Many thanks in advance. Can't wait for our...

Anyone know if a Disklok will fit on a standard T6 steering wheel without damaging it please?

    Aftermarket Security

Hi I've just acquired my first VW campervan and I'm also looking to do just this. My van has the basic vw factory immobiliser which I'm led to believe is a waste of time. So I agree that a visual deterrent and something to stop them moving it (other than a tow truck) seems the best option...

    How Secure Are T6.1’s

Our T6 is stored at a very secure caravan/van storage yard, or it’s on our drive. In both cases it has a pedal lock, Disklok and wheel clamp attached. The cost of all 3 is about £450, which is trivial in the scale of things. When out and about we leave the wheel clamp behind. Pete

    New camper :)

...to go into the garage for servicing/MOT. Apparently you can put it into service mode, but if the van goes above a certain speed (can’t remember the exact speed but fairly low) it re-activates. If you want a quick and easy fix for your security I’d recommend a Disklok, you’ll need the small size.
