Visible Security

Hi All,

Getting Ghost II & tracker fitted to van. But wanted something else for security and as a visible deterrent. Is there any difference between a disklock or a steering wheel lock (eg stoplock pro) in terms of the level of security provided?

I have Stoplock Pro. Probably 50/50 between the two.

I use the Stoplock simply because it's easier to store in our van the way it's set up

I'd agree go for whichever suits you best and with an awareness they're mostly for "move along to something a bit easier" deterrent rather than full security.

I got the Stoplock pro because my insurance co. gave me a discount for using one

Stoplock Original and Pro are decent products, but straightforward to overcome so likely won't provide much of a visual deterrent to anything more than the most casual Scumbag.

Disklok is the one if you want a visual deterrent. More than once when had a gang of scumbags on CCTV kitted up with the relay gear, but when then spotted the Disklok they shook their heads and moved on to the next one.

I wouldn’t waste my money on the Stoplock Original.
They were great in their time, but easily overcome now - lots of videos on YouTube.
