The DRL on our 2012 T5.1 has stopped working. The bulb is OK, but I have no idea where the fuse is to check if it has blown. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Sean replacing the DRL bulb on the H7 headlight unit without removing the whole headlight unit is pretty much impossible. That’s why VW are telling you it’s a wiring issue…. removal of the bumper/grill to then remove the headlight unit is inevitable. Don’t be afraid to tackle this job yourself...

...out the bulb holder for the wired version. Sadly VW now want £27 each for the repair part!!! So if your making the change to H7 check the DRL bulb holder and if it has the old style bayonet contacts maybe think about changing them out for the wired type while you have the headlight units out.

...bling option is THQ lights, budget about £500 plus fitting Recommended option, in my opinion is Shuttle or Caravelle headlamp units. OE, look good, good light output, fit led DRL bulbs if you want a white light. Use Philips +200% H7 bulbs and get it coded so dip stays on with main beam.
