Hi Guys,
I’m in the process of getting the ball rolling converting my ExRAC Transporter…
Originally I wanted to go for the Bogger look but with so much to do, maybe paying out for those type of wheels isn’t the best option at the moment.
Found a chap on eBay (Dub Depot) selling delivery...
Mine has 110,000 on the clock. It's on the lower side of the ones I have looked at.
Yeah, they can easily become a money pit but such good, versatile vehicles.
That's why I decided to join the forum. Lots of the Google searches I did on fitting windows, adding cruise control etc led me here...
Hi Guys, I have a T6 2017 startling 150dsg exRAC and have had a few issues. No rear lights, no interior lights. Found a blown 7.5 fuse which I changed.
I disconnected the battery as well, when I removed RAC wiring. Now I have no dash lights and the van won't crank.
Just want to check the...
Thank you for replying! That's interesting. Obviously I only have these guys word for it. Part of the reason I thought it sounded feasible was that I found another thread on here where someone with an ex-RAC van had a autokontrol drive by wire limiter (a black box he had to disconnect behind the...
I think I might have to replace my alternator, I have ordered some unofficial service pins from Amazon, do you think the job would have been easier if you had them?
Ours is a 67 plate T6 exRAC, any recommendations on the make of alternator to get or doesn't it matter that much?
Two questions please.
Where does the electrics run from the tow bar socket? I can see it goes into bumper. Does it then join the original loom and run up to the relay under the passenger seat?
Is it possible to have a passenger double seat swivel whilst maintaining tow bar electrics?
not that i know of. . .
that will be after market RAC stuff that the fitters done.
maybe post some pics of the kit and batterys etc to see if we can work it out.
unless there are other EXRAC van on here? - that may know about the old electrics?
Thanks buddy.
I do see the value but I can't do yellow. It's like I'm intolerant. I don't have the enzyme to break down the yellow pigment. I had a yellow car that was brilliant but just too yellow... so traded it in and bought a mondeo... instead of a T4.... I'm a di ck...
I seen a few T5s...
...Still have brilliant memories of it. So, was hankering after a t5.1. As you do, I've just been browsing various classifieds.
A 2016 66 reg exRac van with 200,000 miles(yes that's not a typo!) has come up locally. I've been to see it. It needs drop links, heatshield for exhaust...
...Christmas.
I’m needing some help please with a couple of things.
I’ve just ordered front and rear bumpers from Travelin-lite to go on my exRAC T6, it’s coming with a gloss black vw badge grille, I really wanted a non badged one, if I order a non badged grille from THQ will it fit...
My recently purchased exrac van is clonking a bit at the front. Also the ride is awful . without spending an arm and a leg on coilovers.is there another option. The van seems high at the moment has the rear springs are heavy duty..I'd be looking to lower it a bit and make the rid a bit more...
...out? Currently ripping the wiring out and there's an obscene amount in there, just seems overkill to me.
I want to completely remove all the exrac wires, as the intention is to install own leisure battery etc and not rely on the rubbish that was in there.
Getting the units out was painful...
I’ve searched on the forum for the answer but can’t find one. I have a MY18 (10th digit in vin is J and van is 18 plate) van and I have got the one touch windows to work, I can hold the lock button down and windows go up. However the mirrors won’t fold in, do I need to activate anything at all...
Hi Euge
Like you I also purchased an exRAC, seeing all the wiring was daunting. However I spent a day just tracing what had been cut/tied back I think in total out of 19 individual wires that went back to under the passenger seat, I removed 16 of them. Have a look at my posts, just don't...
Hi all,
Yesterday I did the floppy handle fix on my outer driver's door handle.
All good except the new limited travel (spec) meant the cable wasn't being pulled far enough to actuate the mech.
So I pulled the slack and re-attached - all good. A little tight pulling on the handle but it worked...
220 miles from South wales to looe Cornwall in tango and cash ( exrac dsg 150 money pit ) , good points and a couple of need to do for next time , good: got here first attemp last year bmw 320 touring 30 miles in broken rear spring by the time I got home 2 broken springs 8 hours for a 3hr and a...
...and last minute decided not to have my rear spoiler fitted.
It has been sprayed RAC orange so may benefit someone who has just purchased an exRAC van.
I would like £175 ovno, just looking to get back the cost of the spoiler and paint work.
I am based in Bournemouth so could potentially meet...
