My understanding is that you can but there might be implications arising from it. I'm having a nightmare with the AdBlue system on my Audi Q5 at the moment and am thinking about an AdBlue delete. I'm probably going to canvas for opinions on here about the issue in general rather than being...
...Was going to do the scuttle, but was scuppered by Screwfix not having the wiper puller in stock so that will be another day.
I'd very much like to do the the wheel arches and floor pan, but I think it's a bit beyond my skill set.
Topped up the adblue, bit boring, bit it's a van job done.
Hi all i am new to this forum as i have just became the proud owner of a 2019 T6 edition that was converted into a camper van , i have yet to pick it up from dealer but i was wondering if anyone could tell me if it uses adblue.
...have given us the option of warranty, given what I'm reading is this wise to accept?
Given the issues these appear to be prone to will they be covered on said VW warranty?
We were thinking of EGR,DPF, Adblue delete in the future but that seems to not stop the engine wear?
TIA for the...
A friend , having had regular adblue issues and engine warning light issues had his adblue totally removed and the system cleaned out .
Van was re-chipped giving far better diesel consumption ( ad-blue greatly increases diesel consumption ) and more power .
It sailed through its MOT so adblue...
@interbear. I don't know anything about the mechanics of cars in general but 15000 miles adblue range just seems a bit too far to me. The most my Audi Q5 or T6 has ever shown on the MFD with a freshly filled adblue tank is 6000.
Touch wood, I hope not. I guess that manufacturers cobble emission control devices up on the back of a fag packet or toilet roll then fit then to satisfy government departments guessing that they will have moved on to something else, new model or what ever before being caught out.
Just a...
yes after about 50 miles, can't prove it but I recon it was after a regen which probably lowered the ad-blue level enough for the sensor to read it. I had about 5000 miles of ad-blue in the tank so when I refill it, which will be soon, back to that level it will be interesting to see if it comes...
I got Carista and quickly cancelled the free trial after I realised it was bobbins. Thankfully the dongle has come in handy and I use an app called CarScanner (blue background/white engine). It’s free or a couple of quid to remove the ads but it’s been great on my MK5 Golf, I haven’t plugged it...
Engine only had adblue delete at that time ,..
Wanted torque 470 nm could have take it to over 200bhp but didn't
Yeah it's back on dyno Monday, and if it doesn't make power , injectors are coming out !
...driven the T5, T6, and 6.1 on contract lease up till 2022 for12 years for my job averaging 75000 a year only problem I ever had was faulty Adblue sensors on the 6.1. Now i finally bought one for personal use as i like them so much and so versatile, obviously i couldn't mod a lease vehicle so...
Correct
Like I said can’t recall the exact miles when the message appears but could well be 1500, along with a figure for amount of adblue. It’s happened twice since I’ve had the van in about 8000 miles.
If I scroll through the mfd I can’t find any other reference to adblue other than when...
My range has just dropped from 1600 - 1400 and when i start the ignition the adblue message automatically shows & stays (till another option is selected ) . It didn’t automatically show when it was reading 1600 . Any reasons why this may be? Cheers
Thanks yes not many vans shifting at the moment I’ve had some right belters wanting it for nothing but ain’t in no hurry as it’s not costing me having it sat there so will wait and see
No, he’s about 45 miles away, but he’s thinking it’s a canbus break or short and as I’d been having errors relating to short to ground with various adblue sensors I’m going to be investigating the wiring from the adblue plug working back up the loom.
