    17” tyre recommendations

The higher load rating will be able to resist overheating at higher loads than required. This inevitably creates a stiffer sidewall and with that, a firmer ride. However, higher rated tyres tend to be used on heavier vehicles at higher pressures. Used on a lighter vehicle, at lower pressures...

Goodyear Vector 4 season cargo tyres cracking

Just jet washing the van this morning and noticed a slight crack on one of the front tyres (see photo). Checked the other tyres and all have evidence of the same happening in the same place on the tyre. Is this a known problem with Goodyears ? They’ve only done 16 k miles, fitted by the dealer...

    Tyre Pressure 275/40/19

Tyre pressures affect wear in the centre of the tyre. Too high pressure the centre wears quicker , too low the outer wears quicker . Wheel alignment however affects wear on the outer and inner edges scrubbing the thread off

There is but it won't cover the 245/65 tyre size. This is a good guide: I'm running 45psi on 245/64R17 Falken Wildpeak at3wa tyres.

    20” Tyre Pressure

Try it at 36. We did thousand of miles testing different tyre pressure and 36 was the sweet spot and up to 40 when fully loaded

    MFD MPG Lies

I would think it’s a simple calculation based on fuel temperature, fuel volume and odometer. The obvious error being the odometer with different wheels / tyres / tyre pressures.

Not the same winter tyre, but I bought a set of wheels with Devanti Wintoura+ tyres on. Intending to run them until the tyres were done and replace with all seasons. 3 years and approx 30k miles, running all year round, and there is still about 5mm on each tyre so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Wheels Size (and Suspension) for Bus?

If you are concerned with potholes I suggest staying with the same wheels and fitting better quality shock absorbers/dampers instead. Koni adjustable damping are my preference but they make others. If your changing rims to larger diameter the normally the overall wheel tyre diameter remains...

    20” Tyre Pressure

I got 30,000 miles out of a set of Michelin PS4S’ at 40psi. Not cheap tyres but I’ve used them on cars before and was interested to see how they would perform on a van. Van is fully converted and I meticulously kept them at 40psi.

    T30 255/40/20 - My Experience

...directly from wolfrace.co.uk When you add the selection to the basket there's a bit at the bottom that allows you to add locknuts and tyre pressure monitoring sensors. What I loved most about their service is that they fit the tyres on to the alloys, align and load balance them before sending...

    Tyre Pressures 255/45/18

I wanted to get the optimum pressure in the tyres on my golf. It had the usual sticker with a range depending on load etc. I emailed Michelin (as I had their tyres on it) and asked for their advice based on my usual load and the wheel size. They came back within a few days with a lovely email...

TPMS Alerts but no pressure loss

Ah that'll be it - you need to go into the mfd and set tyre pressures. Simple as that. Because you've changed wheels, the sensors are seeing a different radius to what they expect so that gives an error. Same as if you had an under or over inflated tyre. The setting is in the MFD, under the...

    18” Tyre recommendations

It’s all to do with tyre size, load rating (e.g. 103) and max pressure. In smaller sizes such as 16” to get a sufficient load rating (103) and high enough max pressure the tyre will have been made for the van market (rather than lighter cars) and will be C rated. Larger size tyres (e.g. 18”)...

    255/45/19 Tyre Pressures

46 sounds too high (from my reading on this forum). This is a great thread. I know it references 20" but mentions all sizes. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/20%E2%80%9D-tyre-pressure.12314/

Michelin Cross-Climate 2 - Probably the best T6 tyre in the world?

Thanks Ginkster. Yep - pressures been fine and correct. Standard van no adjustments apart from a slightly wider tyre than stock (235 v 215). Local driving on an and b roads and then 2 trips to the alps. The other thing that is worrying me slightly is we live on bridle track and am worrying the...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

I will need to read this thread in its entirety! It is interesting for me to see opinions about their off road tyres and set up! I like reading about tyres that I am familiar with and those that I am not. I am curious about the Wildpeak. I am on BFG 255/55R18 AT KO2 and looking forward to...

A UK sticker, continental headlight masks, spare light bulbs and a tyre pressure gauge that doesn't need batteries. I have an electric one but the batteries are always flat when I need it. Traditional ones are getting hard to find...
