I have just purchased this code reader (which was recommended by Scotty ) for £99 to read the fault code for a suspected ABS sensor. I need to know which wheel is affected. There are three warning lights on the dashboard Traction control, ABS and Tyre pressure which never extinguish. I was trying to save the local garages' quote for diagnosis of £50. I want to change the sensor myself. However the code reader works but no codes were found. Has anyone had experience of this particular reader? I can still return it for a refund and have thought of trying the Carista OBD at £27.99. I have a VW Transporter 2018 Petrol Bus 2.0 TSI FWD Mk VI SGB,SGC,SGG,SGJ,SHB,SHC,SHJ 1984cc 110KW 150HP CJKB: Any (not rude ) comments would be welcome.

Yes but but the message said the pressures could not be recorded. Incidentally the tyre pressure light only usually appears when a pressure is low

Interesting... also as there were no fault codes as a real low pressure incident always triggers a fault code (of course assuming the code reader can actually read VW ABS controller).

I think it's something else - possibly similar to challenge in below

I had a new tyre fitted to the front right about one week before the lights appeared. The oil service has been done but light not cancelled. I have driven 700 miles since they appeared, the tyre pressures are ok.

Can you read live data from sensors with the Launch?
Please check what ABS controller reports for steering angle - are the values realistic - e.g. should be 0 steering wheel centered?
What about steering angle sensor itself (controller 04)?
Can you read in what mode the ABS-controller is?

Possibly there simply is no such a capability. The datastream values on the screenshots are from engine controller. The ABS controller is a different one (as well as many others, e.g. steering angle controller, central electrics, battery monitor, gearbox, etc.).

Any (not rude ) comments would be welcome.

VCDS would be a time saver, and in the long run probably saving money as well.

I'm suspecting steering angle sensor (or associated wiring) being the culprit but certainly would like to verify instead of just blindly replacing parts.

SB16, SB17 (fusebox by left headlight)
SC32, SC51 (centre fusebox in cabin)
