Thank you very much. That's indeed interesting. Is your van's clock in the dash panel in correct time (or actually same time as your computer)? Just trying to syncronize the log and the fault time/Instrument. Actually based on engine rpm and speed - the times seem to match.
Interestingly the...

Also, after this drive, i had the NOx error, luckily this did not turn on the MIL light, find below

...a Carista hour! I had these faults and reset them. When I am not a lockdown self isolating w****r from my trip I'll take it for a run!
P20EE, 31103, 03303, 01044.02256
I suspect some of these were from the Tow bar fit in July.
I saw my soot level at 12.9 somewhere but damned if i can find...
The faults do NOT indicate NOx sensor fault. Can you tell what software you have now - it would have been a few lines above the fault codes in the printout.

Ok, this explains why at VW no faults were present - the fault was "expired" already at 9870 km.
Do you have an idea what kind of driving you were doing at 12:38:57 - at the moment of the fault surfaced.
Below a sample of my fault log & snapshot of recorded engine parameters at the moment of...
Thank you. No need for VIN's last digits.
31103 is just VW's own code for P20EE, thus only 1 fault there. Anyways, there is an engine software update (version 6166) available for your CXHA engine. The update should cure false alarms of this fault - among other things. The trick is to inject some...
...about mechanical stuff so it worried me all the way home and I plugged Carista in, it showed two engine / exhaust related faults - P20EE and 31103 (along with 4 others, more of which later maybe!). FWIW Ad Blue was topped off about 600 miles ago.
I plan on calling AA Assist later this...
Cleared fault codes:
P20EE & 31103.
Think this is the 5th time this or adblue has come up in an 18 month ownership. VW haven’t really said much every other time they’ve cleared them and gave me 8 free adblue refills. Getting slightly annoying now.
Any ideas on solutions?
Our van has ongoing issues with P20EE / 31103 errors. It's done the adblue range and no restart warning thing once too, but that went away by itself.
VW have already updated the software and replaced 'something' (they mentioned glow plugs, but I don't see how that's related!) under warranty...
...exactly, thanks.
I was curious about your van's engine software version because the recent software update should have eliminated fault P20EE (31103). That's the reason why I'm chasing P20EE faults around the Forum. So far no P20EE faults from new software....

key codes are P20EE - SCR NOx catalysts efficiency below threshold bank one, and the associated 31103.
Given the lack of any impact I have elected to reset the codes and keep a watching brief.
It now seems that the same codes are flashing up at...
@Jfoz i have had the same 31103 fault code on my van. The diagnosis was to change the NOx sensor, which, as my van was out of warranty, I paid for £680. The light came back on.
Before you go spending money on anew NOx sensor, make sure they check to se if your van has had the latest VW adblue...

Thank you for sharing, really appreciated! Yes, indeed early versions of Carista didn't report the version.
The reason (one of them) why I'm snooping around Forum is that sometimes the update hasn't been a "descendant" of the initial software. Although it was the case with yours "04L906056KG"...
