...overhead glove box thing, thenover the top of the headlining. I removed the joining strips and fed a piece of welding wire through each section in turn, followed by the cable. Then went down to NS rear corner and into the rubber snake grommet by the lights. Take the light out to get easier...
...a reversing camera and switched on the camera display with the side camera. The cables I fed alongside the existing wiring for the aerial and mirror heater, from memory there is a large rubber grommet or seal the cabling passes through to prevent water entering the door from the mirror housing.
Nah, don’t bother with all that. Just drill a hole in the floor (where your gas bottle compartment is, for convenience) and stick 12v split charge feed and 240v in the same hole. That’s how the ‘professional’ did my previous van anyway.
(One of my first jobs was to fix that I have to add!)
...van where the dc-dc charger is so will be neater too. Will paint the drilled metal entrance to the van to prevent rust and will use a rubber grommet and silicone to seal and protect the cable. The thicker cables aren't too badly priced on 12v planet website so may as well pay £10 more and get...
Hey @Deaky - I'm thinking of doing similar to you in putting an IP65 battery charger under the scuttle panel, to run to my leisure battery under the driver's seat. But trying to work out what to do for the wiring.
Not sure if I chop the end off of one of the Victron 2-meter-extension-cables if...
The problem I have is that I won't be able to fit the bulky cable connector through the grommet between the engine bay and the passenger footwell. I would need to cut a much bigger hole and somehow seal and protect the edges from rubbing on the wire.
If it’s underneath the driver or passenger seat there is a large grommet under thenflooring that the vent pipe can be passed through. If it’s not vented to outside then any gas generated whilst charging will stay in the van, if the battery starts boils over then acid will just leak into your...

But take it from the starter battery POs terminal.
And NEG to the van chassis.
Finally found a picture of factory ground point - surprisingly hard to find! (credit @Jet Grommet / Bung underneath front Seat)
It's a white dome nut in the center line of the seat. As you see from the picture it's much closer to the front seat bolts than the rear ones. Little bit hard to tell...
...then the Perlight 175 watt solar panel is mounted on the rails in a stealth yet practical manner... the cable is ran via the rear light grommet meaning no holes need to be drilled into the roof / panels of the van. All in all I think it’s a pretty neat solution... and great if you want to use...

...sound deadening and insulating the interior.
I’ve bought a ‘Bluetti charger one’ to dc/dc charge my AC200L battery pack when driving.
I’m going to install it today via the firewall grommet to the battery.
Have you any thoughts / advice on this unit or help for me in general on fitting this?
I don’t have a rear wash/wipe but would hazard a guess that, from the offside A-pillar the tube routes through one of the grommets on the firewall so it ends up behind the Battery. Sorry I can’t be sure

Loads of alternatives to OEM. I and many others on the Forum use this site.
Not sure if this is what you are after?

...the rear wiper reaches. The most common place is towards the top of tail gate. You have to drill a 8.5mm hole then paint edges then fit a grommet. It has to be where the wiper can clean glass where camera is pointing.
I'm liking the Wolfbox G900Pro as I've installed sliding seats in my van...
Morning, when removing the under trays on my T6 to install the diesel heater, a couple of the plastic grommets broke, any advice on the correct product code and where to purchase them. Thanks
