Nah, don’t bother with all that. Just drill a hole in the floor (where your gas bottle compartment is, for convenience) and stick 12v split charge feed and 240v in the same hole. That’s how the ‘professional’ did my previous van anyway. (One of my first jobs was to fix that I have to add!)

The problem I have is that I won't be able to fit the bulky cable connector through the grommet between the engine bay and the passenger footwell. I would need to cut a much bigger hole and somehow seal and protect the edges from rubbing on the wire.

Finally found a picture of factory ground point - surprisingly hard to find! (credit @Jet Grommet / Bung underneath front Seat) It's a white dome nut in the center line of the seat. As you see from the picture it's much closer to the front seat bolts than the rear ones. Little bit hard to tell...

I don’t have a rear wash/wipe but would hazard a guess that, from the offside A-pillar the tube routes through one of the grommets on the firewall so it ends up behind the Battery. Sorry I can’t be sure
