Had a total loss of power crossing a roundabout, engine seemed to have stalled with suddenly jolt, tried to restart but low cranking speed and then totally flat battery. Aux drive belt seems to have stripped outer edge, this was only replace a week ago. Also found this on the driveway on my...
...newbie and looking for some help, we have just brought a T6 to convert and are located in Victoria, Australia. I am struggling to find any flatpack furniture kits that are a like the ones available in the UK. Does anyone know of any available in Australia or anyone that will send from the...
Have a look at Cymru Camper Furniture on Instagram. They basically do copies of van furniture but offer bespoke options. They are quite a trek from you but I think they might be venturing into flatpack delivery..
Campervan Conversions | Autokraft in Stoke on Trent
Might be worth a call, they are approved conceters for Evo Design EVO Design – VW CAMPERVAN AND MOTORHOME FLATPACK FURNITURE DIY & TRADE
Alternatively EVO Design – VW CAMPERVAN AND MOTORHOME FLATPACK FURNITURE DIY & TRADE do sell just the rear units ie full height cupboard and from memory they also do the ‘spice rack’ as well. You need to look at the kitchen units on their website and the they are on the last few pages

Depending on what you are running I think 2000w for 1 or 2 nights is overkill. A 1000w would probably be enough.
EcoFlow seem to be really good units and you can buy an 800w alternator charger for them which will charge your power pack from flat to full in an hour and 20mins of driving.
You...
Anyone else obsessed by space saving stuff for the van? I am! My mission is to be able to have everything permanently in the van for a weekend away. My favourite so far is this bbq.
Dual fuel, can also be used as a fire pit and fits in a drawer with very little space taken up. Other faves:

Quite a few fold flat or compact things here as it's a kombi with a DIY slot together for the back that gets used solo for biking or with the kids
Carplife bivvyloo - fold flat toilet
Fold flat rectangular bowl/sink - fairly generic thing
Fold flat kettle from sea to summit
Ridgemonkey

I'd advise not running them totally flat, every charge cycle puts some wear on the cells so it's more like driving an engine than filling a fuel tank. Try not to drop below 20% in general use, occasionally doesn't matter and usually helps the battery...
Looking for a slimline low level kitchen for my T6.1 swb. I have a fabworx sliding rail bed and have approx. 300mm from the bottom which is narrower than the flatpacks I’ve seen available. Just wondered if there’s any cabinet makers local to Chesterfield?
Welcome along.
I think most flatpack units are quite similar in terms of quality. I opted for Buffalo board when buying my U-shape layout from Van Furniture. Quality seemed OK but instructions are a bit rubbish and customer service could be improved
I’m interested in this but I’m way too far away to collect. I guess it packs flat so if you could pack it up and I arrange a courier would that work for you?
best get yourself a jump-pack, for when you do run your battery flat - which you will do.
have a look here:

.
FYI you can extend your run time by having a leisure battery fitted and using that to power your kit.
I've been testing a PWM motor controller to replace my resistor pack and I'm pretty bloody happy with it. So much more efficient! Now I just have to figure out where to stick it. I gets quite hot running flat stick (not on low like the resistor solution), so I was thinking of trying to fit it in...
