    AT3 tyres? 235 55 18 or 235 60 18?

My OE tyres on Claytons are 205/65 R16. So the 235/60R18 are 9% (about 60mm bigger) than those. Thats a lot. By the way, how do you know you lost 4mpg?

General Grabber AT3 vs Avon AX7

Sorry pal, more time to reply....i posted the below to another member a while ago. I took the van to Spain this year when it was 44 degrees, lots of stone off road tracks and the tyres are still brand new, now 31k... I always use AT3'S on my Transporters. 1st set did 47k, 2nd set did 45k and...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

I've got 235/55/18 on steels and I personally wouldn't want to raise the gearing any more so I wouldn't go with 235/60/18.

255 55 18 - about to order but this forum has got me worried!!

On standard suspension, no spacers, using amarok steels I have run 235/55/18 and 235/60/18 and both sizes are 100% perfect. No rubbing in any situation even towing 2.5t across rutted tracks.

Swamper/AT wheels with 4 season tyres

Si I have run Wolfrace Assassin's with 235 55 18 and 235 60 18 General Grabber AT3s. 255s will fit and go round but scrub on lock and with compressed suspension. I personally wouldn't use anything other than Generals, I tow a tri-axle trailer up rutted tracks, live rural so suffer pot holes and...

Stitches and Steel 18" steel wheels with All Terrain Tyres

Are the Stitches and Steels just amaroks? I have amaroks with general grabber at3s 235/55/18 and 235/60/18. I tested 255/55 and although they went round they snagged when the suspension was compressed on lock. Too big for unhindered use on standard suspension.

General Grabber AT3 vs Avon AX7

I always use AT3'S on my Transporters. 1st set did 47k, 2nd set did 45k and I'm on my 3rd set on a new van 20k so far. They're acceptable from a noise point and brilliant off road. I have a 4M and often pull heavy trailers off road. I had 2 LR Discovery's that also had AT3'S....same wear and...

    18” Tyre recommendations

Hi I have a set of 18 genuine sportline t6 alloy wheels on the van currently running 255-45-18 tyres I am looking at changing the tyre for a 235-60-18 Is there a reason why this shouldn’t be done? Only asking as my old sportline wheels had 235-45-18’s on when I bought the van and this one has...

    OZ Rally Raid 17’s

245/65/17 is pretty big.... I'm doing a ton of research, trying to find out which way to go but I'm scared to go that big... 235/55/18 has kind of a low tire and I'm still not sure if I like the look.... 225/65/17 or 235/60/17 would be an idea but an 8" rim might be too wide.... And then...
