Definitely parts darts. And I'm borrowing that quote Even with the light flashing it always revved over 3000k albeit reduced performance. A switch off and back on the ignition made it go away until the next random cold start Hopefully my parts arrive today so I can get the tank back on

I don't but since the van wouldn't start and the glow plug light was flashing plus that was the only one that wouldn't clear it seems the most likely candidate.
