Because the glow plug light is flashing (rather than on permanently) I would suspect the turbocharger boost controller fault is more likely to be the real issue. As said previously, the first step would be to clear the codes and see which ones return (or can't be cleared) and go from there.

Definitely parts darts. And I'm borrowing that quote Even with the light flashing it always revved over 3000k albeit reduced performance. A switch off and back on the ignition made it go away until the next random cold start Hopefully my parts arrive today so I can get the tank back on
