All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

Cooper did a 235/60/17; slightly larger rolling radius/diameter but it had a higher load rating. This tyre has been discontinued You may need to mover to 235/55/18 , with 18" wheels, if you want to go down this route.

    Sold Amarok Manaus Wheels

To everyone asking to split the wheels, I say don’t be so lazy. There’s a good market on eBay and marketplace for 255-60-18 tyres. They fit loads of vehicles, L200, Navara, Q7, Amarok to name a few. I really like these Manaus wheels and have just fitted a set to my T6 Caravelle. My costings...

    Tyre Loading - 109 rating

Please let us all know how you get on with them, Maybe, After a few hundred miles; After a few thousand miles; After 20k miles etc . Look forward to the reviews  I think these could be the perfect T6 tyre (after my beloved Nokian weatherproofs SUV:whistle: ;)), just needs a few...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

WOW they are big tyres. I ran GG 255/55/18 on my T5, and I thought they were too big in terms of gearing and I had 255hp (Hybrid turbo etc etc etc ) The GG 235/55/18 are the maximum up-gearing I would personally consider, even with a 204BiTDI and carry light loads But they do look good......:)...

30mm Spacers All Round On Standard Suspension

I don't recall any posts relating to negative aspects of wheel spacers. Many people who change their wheels, get wheels with more off-set (less ET), so they achieve the same thing in another way. I use my wheel spacers with All-Season tyres; and have previously used them with AT, all good no...

AT 235/55/18 - does the extra sidewall cause issues?

Hi I don't run 235/55/18 but I do run 235/60/17 the same rolling radius. When my current tyres are warn out (Nokian weatherproofs), I'm fitting some 18" Amarok alloys with 235/55/18's (same tyres) So having done 35k miles with 3% oversized tyres with a 204 BiTDI DSG 4mo., I have to say that yes...

    T32 Wheel Options.

Newbie here to alloys and wheels! I drive a (2017) T32 lwb converted to campervan and I am wanting to upgrade the original steel wheels. I have been researching and am beginning to understand all the different wheel and tyre options and like others finding it a challenge to find something...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

I understand your logic with 60 profiles, but it's a balance between trying to bulk out the wheel inside the huge arch and the wheels looking like you've just took them off a Range Rover and stuck them on a T6, which is never a great look. Most of the Swamper Transporters will run 55s or...

    Best Bang For Buck?

Arguably 18" offers the most; 235/55/18 imo perfect you can go 19" with Michelin Cross-climate SUV 235/50/19, and you get the benefit of real looker I'm at 235/60/17 Nokian Weatherproof SUV, which means I can hit big potholes at 70mph, and just sail through them; and some people argue in winter...

    Another Winter Tyre Question !

for my T6 4mo. 235/60/17 Nokian Weatherproof SUV : Rating 98% its not technical but hey!!! Leave them on all year round, looks like they will do 40k+ miles with 3mm still remaining. Brilliant in all conditions for a van, and pretty bloody good off-road as well. the 204Bi TDI with Dynamic...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

If there is one aspect of T6 ownership I am guilty of "over thinking" its wheels and tyres; I'm OK with suspension as mine came with a 20mm drop and DCC, so the suspension is excellent, even by most cars standards imo. So I've gone from a committed 17" man, to now an 18" modern man. For the...

AT 235/55/18 - does the extra sidewall cause issues?

Thanks. Ours is 204 DSG. I might just go for the Nokians Weatherproofs in the correct size but they’re £45 more a corner than the General Snow Grabbers that I fancied that only come in the 55 profile on r18. Also worried that the extra 12mm will get the Cali too close for comfort to 2m barriers.

    Confusion

VW fit 235/50 to 18" wheels. I think 255/60 might be a bit big. Not sure what the Amorok wheel offset is.

    Its At This Moment.....

@chriscroft - As I'm in a T30, any reason not to go with the standard Nokians (i.e. not SUV) which I can get in the correct size (235/55/17 103) for my van... Or would you still suggest the SUV version (235 / 60/ 17)? I'm already running 20s on summer wheels, so already have a 5% oversize at the...

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

255/55/18 rubbed like hell on my standard suspension t32...not so much on lock (although It still rubbed) but when the suspension was compressed. Biggest in could get to work in all situations is 235/60. I always use General Grabber AT3s

    Winter Tyres?

1). yep they will fit perfectly, but you really should consider wheel spacers; hubcentric; TUV approved; HR+ are some of the best but there are others; consider 25mm spacers on all 4 wheels, you could go slightly larger on the rear wheels say 35mm each side if you are really going for it...

    4Motion or 2WD with winter-tyres?

But which Nokian for an 18” The 245/45 R18 is only rated 100. I think minimum rating for a Cali Oceanis 103 load index

16” Alloys With All Terrain Tyres?

Hello I don't think the 17 coopers AT3 are available in 235/60/17 now, and I'm not sure they will be again. These coopers are a great tyre imo for a T6, just the right balance and good in colder weather/ice etc. Just no good for a T32 as the loadings not enough. Are you 2wd or 4wd...

    All-Season Tyre recommendations

235/45/17 is a very small tyre for a T6 and not standard at all, did you buy it with them on? What's the load rating? Usually you cannot get the load rating you need in the standard climate+, but the 235/55/17 climate+ does have a 103 rating I think. I would think the SUV spec tyre is most...
