    17” All-Terrain tyres

235/65/17 is a popular size, especially with AT tyres. It will be slightly larger in diameter than your 235/55/18, by nearly 22mm in total, giving you slightly more ground clearance while also reducing the arch gap. Have a look on "willtheyfit.com" to compare sizes, if you haven't done so...

For sale. Stunning set of 17” Black Rhino Warlord wheels in Gun Metal grey with 235/65/17 properly rated tyres all with at least 9mm tread. The wheels are in excellent condition. I had these on my last California 4motion and looked awsome. If you’re wanting to embrace your inner swamper then...

    Falken Wildpeak on 17 or 18" ?

235/65/17 is meant make the Speedo read same as GPS speed. Unless original spec and/or coding was for 16s

    Falken Wildpeak on 17 or 18" ?

I have a T28 and have decided on the Falkens as best choice. I'll be buying new steels for the van. What are views on the difference between 17" 235/65 and 18" 235/55 either with this tyre or others. I've read there can be quite a difference in handling and comfort? Any views appreciated.

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

Cheers for the info. Getting them fitted this afternoon. I do have a kiravans door store on the sliding door, but having had a look at pictures of the caravelle door trim, I think the kiravans door store is actually thinner, so I think it should be ok. I read the caravelle trim sticks out 20mm...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

After LOTS of research, I went for 235/65/17 on the basis that 245/65/17 would likely rub at the rear of the rear wheel arches. With these on there is only about a 10mm clearance, with the 245's almost 100% certain the heat gun and some fettling would need to be done.

All terrain tyres - recommendations and pictures

235/65/17 seem to be an almost perfect match for van coded for 17" wheels. If you were 16" from new then the speedo will under read with the 235's. You can change the settings via VCDS but this appears to be a one way ticket on the T6.1... I'm sure that the 225/65/17 would be ok but may still...

    Falken Wildpeak on 17 or 18" ?

Did your van come with 16" wheels originally? Standard 16's are a slightly smaller diameter than the standard 17's and the van will be coded accordingly. 235/65 should be virtually perfect on a 17" chassis but will under read a touch on a 16".

Thinking of going A/T, sense check if you please?

...of wheel/tyre packages that look okay to me on willtheyfit, but want to get an idea if they are suitable, or if one would be better than the other: Option 1. 17" 8.5J ET34 with 235/65/17 Option 2. 17" 8J ET30 with 235/65/17 If I could benefit from the accumulated wisdom, it would be...

    swamper over sized wheel carrier

And just a heads up, my van came with the HESS wheel carrier, it was a tight squeeze to fit a part worn 235 65 17 General grabber in there, anything bigger your have to deflate to fit

    Falken Wildpeak on 17 or 18" ?

...very helpful when trying to match summer/winter wheels of different diameters, together with different tyre options. Please see image below of a stock size (235/55/17) vs the Falken Wildpeaks in 235/65/17, and also vs a 235/60/17 option, (Cooper Discoverer ATT) which is closer to stock.

    Amarok Wheels on a T6

Damn I just saw this response. I'm liking the way these wheels look and I've got the same van as yours T30 T6.1. Will the wheels fit without spacers on standard 235/55/r17 tyres?

    Amarok Wheels on a T6

In the photo they are the the 245/65 x 17 tyres that came with the wheels. I am intending to put 235/55 x 17 tyres on them though. Here in NZ they will fail a warrant of fitness (MOT in UK speak) if tyres are more than 5% bigger than standard.

The Cross Climates (CCs) are cracking tyres having had them previously. I'm currently running Cooper Discoverer ATTs (mild AT tyre) in 225 60 17 and considering reverting back to the CCs in 225 65 17 as 98% of my driving is on-road and from experience, the CCs are more than capable on...

Biggest tyre w. 17" possible with a koni 35 mm lift kit 6.1 LWB 2024

What wheels? The offset will be why or if your tyres rub. I've got 245/65 R17 wheels on 8x17 et35 wheels, only had the tiniest bit of rubbing on the rear arch at the back on one side until a few hundred miles in. Ride height is about 20mm down from a std van.

@TallPaul_S I'd be really interested to know what K Number you used to change the calibration for 235 65 17 tyres? My van came with 16 inch wheels so will probably need recalibration with 225 65 17 AT tyres - thank you.

235 is ideal tbh, 245 is really tight in the rear arches, and really your speedo will also need amending.
