Cleared fault codes:
P20EE & 31103.
Think this is the 5th time this or adblue has come up in an 18 month ownership. VW haven’t really said much every other time they’ve cleared them and gave me 8 free adblue refills. Getting slightly annoying now.
Any ideas on solutions?
Our van has ongoing issues with P20EE / 31103 errors. It's done the adblue range and no restart warning thing once too, but that went away by itself.
VW have already updated the software and replaced 'something' (they mentioned glow plugs, but I don't see how that's related!) under warranty...
Every time its been in for a service apparently they check for updates. Do you happen to know the date/name/number for this one if so I will ask the question next Wednesday when it goes in.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I believe the B2AAA is just because of scanner's incompatibility.
P0401 indeed is EGR related.
P204F most likely is remnant of the AdBlue counter drop to 650 miles.
P20EE was common on T6 EU6 engines before software update but shouldn't be issue after the update... has the van got that?

I used to get the P20EE quite regularly but after hounding VW to get the software update I haven’t had any further fault codes relating to this. That’s been over a year now.
My van is a 2017 102ps 5 speed. Its be remapped to circa 150ps for well over 1.5 years now
...The others - any notes what they were?
I've been tracking the Forum and this far the software update has cured the (false alarms of) faults P20EE and P204F. On mine those haven't surfaced any more - for 17 months/14000 miles now.
Some more here...
Yes, exactly, thanks.
I was curious about your van's engine software version because the recent software update should have eliminated fault P20EE (31103). That's the reason why I'm chasing P20EE faults around the Forum. So far no P20EE faults from new software....

Hi - Having similar issues with my T6 showing the P0401 and P20EE codes on my Carista OBD. I've just bought the van which is 2 months out of warranty, but only done 12,000 miles. I've spoken to VW who said they 'may' consider fixing under goodwill if I can show them the service history. However...
...difference in how the van is behaving. Fuel consumption unchanged, no discernible difference in how the van is performing.
key codes are P20EE - SCR NOx catalysts efficiency below threshold bank one, and the associated 31103.
Given the lack of any impact I have elected to reset the codes...
...was an official recall - at least here in Finland. I'd expect it to be same in the UK.
For N1 class (basically VIN WV1....) the update has not been classified as mandatory but will be done if faults (especially P204F, P20EE) show up. So basically the decision is left to service center
That's really well explained, thank you. Had my vw software update 4 days ago after a serious of Nox EML displays. Will keep an eye on the Adblue range, read 5000 on leaving Vw.
...at all during DPF regeneration - which actually caused the NOx levels go very high - which eventually every now and then triggered fault P20EE 00 - Efficiency too Low.
Among other things the updated engine now uses AdBlue also during DPF regeneration - which definitely means more used now. A...

...in black and white - unfortunately. For T6 (EU6) there were two main waves of updates. The latest and greatest should iron out pretty much all the wrinkles that have caused a lot of frustration and discussion also around our Forum. I'm anticipating that P20EE and P204F will finally become...
