Hi,
For sale is my genuine VW Bike Rack, due to a change of circumstances we no longer need it.
It is still in the unopened box, hence the lack of pictures so in brand new condition.
£500 ONO
I am based in Bedford
We have the same rack on our caravan, better to put them on the front of the caravan than on the back due to the weight distribution.
I cant answer on an additional tailgate rack, but on the front of the caravan works perfect.
Looking great. I'd be interested in knowing more about the powdercoating of the bike rack for £48. Do you have any info on the company that did the work?
I have fiamma carry bike T6 pro, and was looking to put the Thule backup 900 on it, so I can open the tailgate without taking out or moving the box. But I'm not sure if this bike rack is compatible with the Thule box
Will do the bike rack when it stops raining. But is the type top of door to the bottom. Has 3 rails so for 3 bikes. Only used it for bikes once, then used to strap the chairs and tables etc in a bags, secured with a cable and locks.
Selling my suction cup roof bars and throwing in an evo wing bike holder. Had them for my poptop on my camper which is now sold - absolutely brilliant and as strong as houses !! Happily carry surf boards and bikes! As seen on Matt Armstrong channel carrying tent boxes on Ferraris , rolls Royces...
I don’t miss the wiper at all. Can’t see much out of the back anyhow with the headrests on the RnR bed. If the bike rack is fitted the view is even more restricted!
Bought our westfalia detachable from PF Jones and fitted it myself .
Happy with it , no problems and it needs to be detachable for me cuz i smash my shins on it every damn time .
That and it only gets used for the bike rack I.e. very occasionally and I'm not keen aesthetically on towbars...
Yeah, as said the uprated struts are to keep the tailgate up with the bike rack fitted not to account for the additional weight of any bikes. I had aftermarket 1250 struts and found them too much (or the wife did). I think I now have the caravelle struts fitted which are just a little too weak...
Hi all
I’m building a bike rack holder in the back of my swb kombi. I know how I’m going to build it but the only bit I’m unsure of is how to I’m going to secure the wooden batten to the d-ring. It needs to be secure enough to hold the 4x2 wooden batten so that the bikes don’t move and yet I...
