    Ply floor and insulation installation

I can only answer from my experience. Sound deadening not worth much as there are not many big flat areas, so you add weight for little benefit. Insulation is worth it - my floor has an XPS laminate layer included. Other folks will have a different view though.

    Renogy inverter to battery cables

If you are concerned about potential heat issues from the cables, just increase the diameter a bit. Though to be honest, I really don't think it's going to be a problem for you as long as you size the cables correctly for the current it should be fine. The cables will be half against a steel...

@DXX Yeah agreed spot on. My pro conversion has no underfloor insulation either. The 12mm ply and vinyl covering is sufficient for insulating.

    Out And About Campers

...in Henfield. Bilbos do good conversions but only their specific range and no options on the finish of the cabinetry, they also don’t insulate or sound deaden anywhere. Appreciate its subjective regarding the insulation and sound deadening as they aren’t unique in not doing this but worth knowing.

Flooring- how do I not mess this up again??

My floor was done professionally without insulation, reason being that any condensation / spillage will find it’s way to the lowest point. Maybe it’s the insulation that’s the problem?
