    Advice on 255/55/18

I did have some light rubbing (barely anything though) on the drivers side rear arch but that's ok now the tyres have a few thousand miles on them. And he's, I'm on 245/65R17 tyres.

18” Tyre recommendations for 8J wheels

Suspension needs sorting for a more comfortable ride you're not going to manage that even with balloon tyres. :geek: Again, 18" wheels 255 45 tyres and H&R coilovers with the underslung water tank being the limiting factor. Just remembered 20mm spacers on the back and 8.5" width all round.

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Remember though as you don't have commercial tyres you can't do 95mph in the outside lane 12 inches behind an Audi estate while shouting down the phone!:laugh:

EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

Just spent an hour or so replacing the front EGR pipe after that decided to break last weekend. The pipe had come apart from the "bracket" at the EGR end, which resulted in a flashing coil light, and (eventually) EML. As others have said, the last bolt is a git, as it's virtually impossible to...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

The kerb weight of a Range Rover is about 2500kg and they would presumably think that was a car? Don't worry about it, your tyre loading is fine.

Solar panels to charge a bluetti power station

Hello everyone. I'm a new member so apologies if this has been discussed already. I'm in the process of converting my T6 Sportline in to a family camper. My pop top roof and rock and roll bed are booked and ordered which is exciting. I've purchased a bluetti AC 200L for my power. The reason for...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Just on this, tyres all fitted fine, but invoice states ‘customer wanted car tyres on his van’, besides the passive aggression, I presume the point is just not ‘commercial’ rated as a couple of you folks have suggested. I just don’t want to invalidate insurance or anything or obvs be doing...

Costco Deal on Michelin Crossclimate 2

OK, the logic is that new tyres should be fitted to the rear, this is due to safety and handling. More grip on the rear would make understeer happen before oversteer. It is much to control understeer than oversteer. Loss grip at the front means the vehicle will tend to go in a straighter line...

    Footwell lights not coming on

It looks like I had two issues - the fuse in the fuse board for those interior lights in my van was a 7.5 amp fuse but every other diagram of the fuse board has a 15 amp fuse in there. The second issue was that the new LED bulbs I had put in are polarity sensitive & I had put them both in...
