...countdown that doesn't want to reset and according to VW needs a new adblue injector, some bit of tube that's £450 and it's got the split EGR pipe on top of that. Haven't seen the van since January and I've lost all faith in it ever really getting resolved without me spending thousands on it...

Review: AutoTech Tuning (ECU & DSG remap, EGR blank and Cambelt change)

...always been a good experience) however recently there was a terrible, diesel smell coming from the engine which turned out to be a split EGR pipe. I'm sure the fumes were giving me headaches every-time I drove it, so I decided to get it fixed asap. On top of that it was due a Cambelt change...

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

That’s pretty scary on a C rated tyre, what was the DOT code (age of the tyre) and were you running at VW recommended pressures?

    Cracked EGR pipe

If I were in your situation I would keep phoning other garages until you get a near date booking. The split EGR pipe issue is well covered on this forum, have a Search and you find the information you need.

Everythings going wrong! EGR pipes and sticking inlet manfold flap valves link?

100k. Unsure what the crankcase breather is and how that or the egr could cause that if you wouldnt mind explaining? Hoping to avoid it happening again. Both egr pipes were split and probably leaking for some time before I bought the van if that could have caused it?

    looking at buying T6 2017

...for nearly 4 years, now has 120k on the clock. Aside from the recommended servicing items, which included the belt etc, we've had a split EGR pipe, a broken rear spring, failed alternator belt pulley bearings and a worn through wire and failed transducer in the engine bay. However, the...

Plastic underbody splash guards - part-numbers?

My undertray was also flagged up as it had a bit missing. I’ve not changed it. Regards the Egr pipe mine also was leaking I could smell exhaust smells in the cab when it regenes. The new part is shaped differently to the old one which apparently helps prevent the pipe from splitting.

    Fault Codes P046C00, P245700 (and P164B00?)

Hi, my first post, I have a T6 102bhp LWB hightop converted into a campervan. I am not a mechanic but have enough knowledge to be wary of spending money at garages unnecessarily. The first two codes above appear to relate to EGR. The final code oil pressure switch faulty operation…? I was...

    Fault code P0299 Boost - 2019 Crafter

Ok so I noticed two things. The wooshing boise at the charge air was coming from a poorly refitted inlet elbow. I refitted that and that noise has now gone away. The second notable thing was the the o ring that seals the other end of the charge air inlet pipe (at the turbo end) was past its...

EGR issue (Confirmed) P0401 - Help!

Thanks, quote is from a local well regarded indie, going to check if he’s including the pipes, it’s probably not far off then with inflation!! Could do without the expense at the moment, but at 100k miles it’s just likely to get progressively worse!

EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

The problem is a pita they won’t do anything about it unless you complain about it and of course it only really happens during a regen …it’s not an issue that prevents the van running or passing an mot etc just a horrible experience for the human beings inside the vehicle ! I wish I had...

    EGR Delete

You don’t need to do anything with the cooling, just make sure the blanking plates go direct to the cooler if possible then if there is a coolant leak into the EGR plus a split pipe you won’t loose coolant.
