Goodyear Vector 4 season cargo tyres cracking

Just jet washing the van this morning and noticed a slight crack on one of the front tyres (see photo). Checked the other tyres and all have evidence of the same happening in the same place on the tyre. Is this a known problem with Goodyears ? They’ve only done 16 k miles, fitted by the dealer...

Sold Devonport’s on Goodyear Vector 2 All Season + TPMS.

Do you or anyone else know if I could retrofit tyre pressure monitoring into my van as I don’t have it but if these have got the senses then surely I just need a control unit

    Tyre Pressures 255/45/18

I have just put 4 new tyres on my Van and was wondering what people have their tyre pressures at? I got this chart from Kwik Fit but not sure how accurate it is. Does any one else run on 255/45/18? Hoping for some advice.

What pressures do you run? I'm on the same profile and tyres. Currently running 41f 39r

    Tyre Pressure 275/40/19

Tyre pressures affect wear in the centre of the tyre. Too high pressure the centre wears quicker , too low the outer wears quicker . Wheel alignment however affects wear on the outer and inner edges scrubbing the thread off

    Winter Tyres?

I have winters with tpms fitted and there is no recoding to do, just swap the wheels, check the pressure,s and re-set the tyre pressure on the dash This is on my BMW tho. Is the transporter different for some reason?

    T6.1 - 16" Clayton Poor RIde Quality

...with 16" Clayton's with 205/65R16 fitted. I've just changed to 17" Davenport wheels with 235/55R17 tyres, the change has dropped the tyre pressures being run on the van from 4 bar to 3 bar. This has massively improved the quality of ride in the van. Keeping with an OEM wheel sizes means you...

Wheel spin followed by abs/stabilisation control (esc) error, front assist: not available error, & start-stop error

Could be the wheel sensor but when ours failed we also got "tyre pressure not available" as well. Our brilliant next door neighbour used his very expensive diagnostics device to determine it was the offside rear. Luckily it was only the sensor and not the ring on the hub. Hope you get it sorted.

tyre pressure loss indicator not available abs and traction light on too plus power steering not working or working intermittently. Any ideas as to what it may be?TIA

    TPMS warning light on dash

I suppose your sensors are different to my 2019 199 Caravelle Exec 4Motion. Mine are a wheel speed sensor type of device they notice changes in rotation speed between wheels. Some sensors I believe measure the actual pressure? If mine goes off a rare occurrence it is a tyre slightly down or a...

T 6.1 Tyre Sensors? not fitted with Nav Infotainment ?

As I recall it flashed up I the middle of the dash display, but it was back in early September so my memory may be faulty on that point.

    18” Tyre recommendations

I have a 2017 T6 with 255/45R18 Landsail tyres on the front. The max pressure shown on the tyre is 44PSI and the recommended pressure according to the door frame sticker is also 44PSI. Is this right? Rears and other tyres on other vehicles I have show the recommended pressure to be a lot lower...

    MFD MPG Lies

I would think it’s a simple calculation based on fuel temperature, fuel volume and odometer. The obvious error being the odometer with different wheels / tyres / tyre pressures.

...on a 2wd but the wheel speed sensors (ABS sensors) are used for lots of systems. If they detect a mismatch the van could display a tyre pressure warning (a low pressure tyre acts like a smaller tyre as it will rotate faster). Similarly it could reduce the effectiveness or even disable many of...

Not the same winter tyre, but I bought a set of wheels with Devanti Wintoura+ tyres on. Intending to run them until the tyres were done and replace with all seasons. 3 years and approx 30k miles, running all year round, and there is still about 5mm on each tyre so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yes I think you’ve got your pressures spot on… and your nice checking of the running temps is a good sign.

There is but it won't cover the 245/65 tyre size. This is a good guide: I'm running 45psi on 245/64R17 Falken Wildpeak at3wa tyres.

    LAUNCH Creader V11+V2.0

I had a new tyre fitted to the front right about one week before the lights appeared. The oil service has been done but light not cancelled. I have driven 700 miles since they appeared, the tyre pressures are ok.

    17” tyre recommendations

The higher load rating will be able to resist overheating at higher loads than required. This inevitably creates a stiffer sidewall and with that, a firmer ride. However, higher rated tyres tend to be used on heavier vehicles at higher pressures. Used on a lighter vehicle, at lower pressures...
