Startline vs highline from day one

I have a foot in each camp. I’ve currently got a highline 4Mo biturbo with factory front parking sensors and reverse camera. But trying to get a reasonably priced highline van for my next conversion is a shocker. So I’m leaning towards a startline T6.1 with business pack. But choice is limited...

    DSG struggling when reversing uphill

If it helps, I have a 2019 T32 LWB DSG and reverse is sluggish to pick up/get going. When it does get going it feels underpowered and I've had trouble reversing up slopes, which I've just learned to actively avoid. That said, I love DSG and would never want to back to a manual.

VW T6 Custom PID codes for DPF

This is a case of reversing. We've all felt the sluggish reverse response. Now we have concrete evidence even DSG detects the resistance to motion and screams for more power but the silly ECU just refuses giving it :p

    Wanted LED tailgate tail-lamp (nearside)

My reversing sensors were playing up on recently converted van - dsg box. I reversed out of stepsons drive, looked in n/s mirror as I stopped and saw I was mm from telegraph pole - said f@@k - that was close and took foot of brake in panic and smacked into it!

    Reversing Light Switch!

Reverse light switch is on the gearbox. It's not via the BCM so not monitored. Are you manual or DSG?

    Hi from Portsmouth

Hi all, Will be taking delivery of a Vw transporter 6.1 Friday. It’s a black Highline, 150PS DSG, 2 seated panel van. It’s quite a basic highline with only a carpeted cabin as an extra. Will be looking to upgrade it as time goes on. Mainly the aesthetics, as it doesn’t look sporty enough...

    T5.1/T6 DSG reversing switch location

I think the manual box has a direct switch linked to the lights. So if the clocks are seeing the correct gear selection from the dsg, then the BCM must be seeing it too. So you will need to go to the BCM and check the reverse lights terminal above. You will need to test the feed at that...

Hesitation going into drive 2017 DSG

Having an issue with a October 2017 DSG T6 going into drive when first starting, you need to wait for 3-4-5 seconds then you touch the throttle and boom it jumps in with a clunk, it doesn’t feel good at all. Seems to go into reverse no problems. DSG oil has been replaced and looked very clean...

    MFD Confusing me

That's a weird one then. Has the dash cluster been changed or anyone had it plugged in to VCDS or similar? Has it always been like this, or is it a spontaneous thing that's just mysteriously appeared?

    How to use a DSG

Hi all , new to the DSG gearbox so I have a couple of questions, can I when stationary put the handbrake on and either keep it in drive or put it into neutral? Will this damage the box? I have stop/start but like to disengage it as sometimes it cuts out the engine when going from drive to...

    2019 T6 R32 dsg reverse with trailer

Hi everyone. I bought a T6 New and recently i have noticed that it does not like reversing with a trailer... At all.. When reversing up a small hill with trailer it will cut power after a little while and you have to wait. First i noticed this when pushing a 1800kg trailer up-hill...

    Bar-Tek DSG Temperature Monitor

I only use the motormover for reversing since having a DSG. It really doesn't like backwards, underload so can understand the overheat warning. Wife's Peugeot gets the same towing forward in traffic. Not much you can do about that, tin snail owners are already hated enough without holding...

    DSG 7 speed lost gears 3 and 5. T6 204bhp 2016

Hi Thanks for that I've attached a screenshot of those items while in D, It was pulling jerkedly, but the figures remained constant. With R selected the figures were much the same, though clutch 1 and 2 were reversed.

    Prospective owner

Mine is a 2018 150 DSG factory Kombi (heated but not folding mirrors). No problems on steep hills, part of the reason for getting the DSG was for driving on steep and narrow roads in North Yorkshire (it's always in the correct gear when weaving between other cars/ tractors and slotting into...
