If it helps, I have a 2019 T32 LWB DSG and reverse is sluggish to pick up/get going. When it does get going it feels underpowered and I've had trouble reversing up slopes, which I've just learned to actively avoid. That said, I love DSG and would never want to back to a manual.

This is a case of reversing. We've all felt the sluggish reverse response. Now we have concrete evidence even DSG detects the resistance to motion and screams for more power but the silly ECU just refuses giving it :p

Reverse light switch is on the gearbox. It's not via the BCM so not monitored. Are you manual or DSG?

I think the manual box has a direct switch linked to the lights. So if the clocks are seeing the correct gear selection from the dsg, then the BCM must be seeing it too. So you will need to go to the BCM and check the reverse lights terminal above. You will need to test the feed at that...
