Not the best pic sorry, but here it is on my van:
Here it is. The splice is soldered underneath the fabric wrap using those heat-shrink inline connectors. I have a slimline EHU connector under the left light and this is just the right length to provide mains in the awning. Of course, it could be made as long as you need.
Lower half wrap? Inc or not Inc door shuts?
If you don't mind me asking, what was the damage to the wallet?
I'm still considering a part wrap on my all black van rather than having the entire thing corrected.
They could have just put a bit of skeleton trunking vertically and not bothered with any of that Kopex, even laced with spiral wrap would have looked neater and leave easier access to individual cables.
The clip now just clips over the trim (it is a fairly stiff interference fit) and the rubber piece wraps over the front end of the deflector snd seats down in the clip (with a little bit of help from silicone spray).
Just the outside, I change it too often to go to those lengths. I would say it’s possibly cheaper to get corrected but I suppose that depends how much correction. It then again so many nice colours go with pearl black.
...of tyre in an emergency can be a real challenge. I’m inclined to agree that having an unmounted Wildpeak 235/65 R17 in the spare wheel well would be a wise move. If it will physically fit and carefully wrapped up with plastic wrap to keep the muck off, I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t...

...is no, unfortunately they would not be insured….
“we can only provide liability cover for your wheels with tyres if they are enclosed in bubble wrap and then individually packaged into fully structured cardboard boxes, not simply wrapped in cardboard. Please ensure the fascia of your rims...
I had the same recently and had to remove the cloth tape also, must be a factory thing.
I used a cheap Halfords connector with some encouragement from a lighter. Bit of a cowboy fix to be honest but I wrapped the repair in new tape and it’s held for a quite a while now
It's nothing special, just the standard thin fibre board they use, and I covered it. There could be a little fluff damage where I removed the plastic thingys.
If you can make good use of it I can wrap it and send it then let you know the postage.
